This 2 CD set encompasses the Belfast Cowboy's entire career, and all genres. Many of these songs are now available all in one place for the first time, and it is cause to celebrate. He has so many great songs, and they are all here. If you are a true fan, or just have a casual interest, grab this collection.

I've had a "Greatest Hits" CD from Van Morrison in my collection for quite some time, but would occasionally hear one of his songs that wasn't on my CD. So, I traded up for this far more-inclusive project. Worth every penny. Van's my "go to" artist as a Sunday morning soundtrack.

For me Van Morrison is an excellent choice in music to listen to on my way home from work. It helps unwind the tension i have inside before i get home.

The Essential Van Morrison - CD is a fantastic collection of classics hits and notable songs that any Van Morrison fan should have in their collection.

The Essential series is very good. No better an artist than Van the Man to be honored by this series. Buy this if you are a fan or want to be.

As a long time Van Morrison fan I really enjoyed this disk, From Gloria to Brown eyed girl to Moondance this set really does have it all, While it doesn't have everything you would be hard pressed to find a better compilation of his work.

This is my first cd and I love it. The music behind this is like jazz and lite pop. I think everyone would love this cd

I was able to pick this up at a great price. It's a great collection of some of his best songs, a great find.

Good overview of his career better than the single disk I had. Includes some nice live versions.

Most of the hits are here. Wish they could include more, but that would take another disk.

I was impressed that these CDs included all his hits including some of his obscure ones.

I like best of albums,always get the good stuff and this is not a let down

this is a good two disc set , disc 1 has all the hits , disc 2 is easy listening

sony did a great job compiling van morrison's career from them to now.

Love this cd. Recommend it highly. All of his best songs.
