The Golf Club 2 is a great game with lots of replay value. Setup like TGC1, this game has improved graphics, thousands of user-created courses, online/offline career modes, increased creation options for your golfer and an all-new training area to hone your golf skills. I’ve had this game for nearly a week and cannot put it down. There are few golf games for PS4 and The Golf Club 2 is the top golf simulation in my opinion. This game beats out Rory McIlroy (again) and I would recommend it for any diehard golf fan. There is a small learning curve, however most should get the hang of the game after 5-10 practice rounds.

If you played the first, you know basically what to expect except this time the career mode is actually included in the game. It's not a revolutionary game, but it's fun.

Game is much improved from last edition. Gameplay still frustrating at time (but that's what makes it fun). If you liked last year's you will like this one.

The golf part of the game is great. It's fun and intuitive. But the "extra" feature where you can upgrade to better clubhouses is weird. It's not good. They could do so many cool things with this game like make a very detailed career mode where you could move up in the ranks and make money, buy cars/house, etc but they don't, which is fine. But they shouldn't have even attempted anything past just the golf part of the game.

Lacks some of the polish that I am used to with the tiger and rory series golf games. Still a good game, lots of fun.

It's an always online game so every course your play is a connection to the server. And the servers work most of the time. I still get CE errors every now and then. It is a great simulator now. Very realistic.

The Golf Club 2 is definitely a title which is for fans of professional golf. The golfing itself is nice, the in-game commentary appropriate, however nothing really stands out with this particular title. Then again there aren't too many excellent golf games out there, and with that statement, The Golf Club 2 is one of the better golfing games on the market.

I was a long time Tiger Woods PGA tour player prior to this, and while it,s not as similiar to Tiger Woods PGA it is a great game none the less.I hope EA sports comes out with another game as good as Tigers.I,m not a fan of their new one Rory Milroy PGA!

Still the best of the golf games. They give you greater control of things in game play. Also not as forgiving as the first version. But I love the graphics and the ability to choose your clubs for your bag.

A significant step back from the original

I purchased the original Golf Club game for the PC from a bargain bin and enjoyed it quite a bit. I have a fairly high-end computer and was able to enjoy it with maximum details at 1080p resolution at a steady 60 fps. The graphics were great and it was surprisingly easy to pick up and play. The gameplay itself was definitely more in the simulation camp versus the arcade style of Everybody's Golf or mid-2000s EA Sports Tiger Woods titles. The robust course editor was a bonus. Golf Club 2 on PS4 is a noticeable step backward. It uses the same Unity engine as the original, but it is horribly unoptimized on console. Its base frame rate is only 30 fps, and it struggles mightily to maintain that. It stutters like crazy, and there's a ton of texture pop-in. Some of the physics were improved over the original - the ball now "bites" on the green much more realistically. However, to say the putting is inconsistent is an understatement. A light touch will either result in a 3-foot squib or the ball rushing 20 feet past the hole. This aspect of golf wasn't outstanding in the first game either, but it was light years better than the sequel. Save your money and see if The Golf Club 2019 is any better. The developers entered into a partnership with the PGA Tour, which means there will be real courses in addition to the selection of user-generated content. Hopefully they will optimize performance and address the gameplay shortcomings of the first two.

Bought both PC and PS4 versions. PS4 version much easier to use and fun to play. Putting is very quirky in both but easier to manage in PS4.

It's a lot of fun getting to design and play courses that you create. Shots that require less than a full swing could be a bit more forgiving as it is very difficult to judge. Overall, great game and I hope they keep making them.
