Another great and unexpected ending from Shamalan.

This movie was recommended by a friend and so I bought it not knowing if it would be good but it turned out to be a very suspenseful and thrilling scifi movie. I absolutely loved it.

The Happening to me was the original BirdBox although I heard that BB was wrote first. Either way, I loved the movie. Walberg is at this best as well.

The movie is a bit of a mixed bag but it’s a very bold attempt at something different and the blu ray looks really good

It begins with no clear warning. It seems to come out of nowhere. In a matter of minutes, episodes of strange, chilling deaths that defy reason and boggle the mind in their shocking destructiveness, erupt in major American cities. What is causing this sudden, total breakdown of human behavior? Is it some kind of new terrorist attack, an experiment gone wrong, a diabolical toxic weapon, an out-of-control virus? Is it being transmitted by air, by water.. how?

Sweet Movie.. Pins and needles all the way till the ending. Won’t be disappointed. Have your popcorn in hand.

This movie was frighteningly and I think unintentionally hilarious. Remember being excited for this movie when it first came out. Surprised I didn't own a copy of this movie. I love these kinds of movies. Reminds me of older scary movies. Also reminds me of The Twilight Zone. Mark Wahlberg is adorable. But Zooey Deschanel I annoying as can be. Overall purdy good movie even though it was a bit of a letdown after you find out what's really going on.

M. Night Shyamalan has done much better. This may be his weakest. Can't wait to see Glass.

M. Night Shyamalan certainly has recognizable movies he has directed; The Happening is recognizable for the wrong reasons I think. I'm not an expert critic and I'll see anything at least once. But from the beginning of the movie, Mark Whalberg seemed very, very off as a teacher. Like a sense that you know he's not gonna be able to act. The movie begins with terrifying incidents of people committing suicide and immediately hooks you in. You wonder what the heck is happening and why they're doing this to themselves. It's a spoiler free review but let me just say that, others may like the ending but I was very confused. Not in understanding what happened but why they chose to end it that way. John Leguizamo and Zooey Dechanel are great actors but I felt indifferent to their characters here. All the dialogue and banter here feels very off and cheesy. Give it a try if you want to see what happens, but don't expect much. It's one of those movies that are so bad they're good.

Suspense, drama...i know its an old movie but like marks movies....specially on 4K..
