Movie was good, but not as good as the first one was.

The trailers for this movie did not do it justice. Hearing that this movie was a prequel, I was concerned that since I knew the outcome, it would not have much impact. The only prequel portion deals with the Huntsman's origin story; the rest is a sequel to the Snow White & The Huntsman. And what a sequel it is: Well acted, fast paced action, great special effects. Who could ask for more?

I was not a fan of the first movie. However after renting this one, I loved it. Winter's War is so much better than Snow White. I'm not sure if it's the new director or the lack of a not-so-great actress, but this one shines. If you want some action with comedy mixed in, this is the way to go.

At first I though this is a prequel of the Snow White and the Huntsmen. But I found out that only the first part of the movie 15 minutes or so take place before the events of that movie. and the rest of this movies take place after the event of the first movie. I like it a lot better then I though I would. Decent storyline, but a few really big plot holes but easily over looked.

I enjoyed this movie. It's not at the same level as LOTR and other more popular franchises, but it was a satisfying fantasy movie. I particularly liked the banter between the male and female dwarves. They were funny. So if you're looking for a decent film in this genre, I would pick it up.

I bought a new 4k TV & blu-ray/4k player during one of Best Buys big sales and have been on the hunt for action movies in 4k. This movie was amazing to watch on the TV and even better, the price was the best I had found! I research the best prices all over the web before I buy anything and BB has the best deals. Cant wait to add more to my collection!

This isn't Snow White and the Huntsman, but it's not a bad film. You get to learn where the Huntsman came from and how he became what he is. There are plenty of good action scenes and the requisite comic relief, plus a surprise or two to boot. All in all this is a fun movie worth a look.

Overall, this movie is decent and watchable. Better than the first, but it isn't great. If you can get past Jessica Chastain's terrible Scottish accent, then you'll be good. It looks beautiful in 4K, especially with HDR. Overall, get this if you're looking for more 4K films to watch.

Everyone knows the basic story behind this movie as its been done and over done in the last 60+ years. But the studio did a nice job making this adventuresome give the familiarity of the tale. Fun movie to watch you young children who are just being exposed to the story lne.

Not the best movie ever, but not bad either. Good action, good acting and the story line wasn't horrible. I know it sounds like 3 stars but I'm giving 4 because I wasn't checking to see how much time was left which is what I normally do when not engaged with the movie.

this prequel, in my personal opinion, far exceeds the movie its meant to precede. Simply put, if you like the first one you should at least like this one more. In this movie, you get the talented redhead Jessica Chasten rather than the expressionless emo Kristen Stewart .

I actually enjoyed this one a little more than the first, and not just because they upped the hottie count in the cast, but Blunt and Theron? Sign me up. Sometimes, I like my fantasy dark, and this one scratched that itch. Also, more Nick Frost, Hollywood...that is all.

I enjoyed The Huntsman Winter War. It was not bad. I’m not easily impressed by movies but it had action, scenery and a reasonable plot. All in all not too disappointing. This is a generic review for a generic movie I’d give it 80 out of 100. Better than average.

This movie was panned by critics as a bad sequel...but I could not disagree more...Its darker and better that the first..Sure its not a kid G movie but that's ok...us big kids enjoy these movies too and it was a solid sequel...Looking forward to the trilogy...

If you have seen Snow White and the Huntsman, you should generally know what this movie is about. This one is the back story to the Huntsman and what he had been through prior to Snow White and the Huntsman. If you liked the original, you should be entertained by this.

Although this movie didn't get great reviews from many viewers it was simply because they didn't pay attention to 2 important details of the plot that left them confused. It's actually pretty good with some funny scenes and some great fun. In 4K the details in the clothes is amazing. If you are into costume design check it out just for that.

I wasn't sure what to expect after Sleeping Beauty but really like the story line. Was a bit shocked that they went from before the 1st movie to years after it. The only thing I didn't expect and thought was odd was when the Huntsman wife showed up....spoiler alert.

Overall the movie is pretty good for a prequel/sequel. I personally preferred the first over this one but its still a good movie and adds more to this lovely tale.

First off Kristen Stewart is not in this film which people seemed to be upset about but believe me it was better with Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt & Jessica Chastain all much better actresses than Stewart and Chris Hemsworth is still fantastic as the Huntsman.

After watching the first installment with my young nephews and nieces, I was looking forward to the next chapter. I was not disappointed. I enjoy these type of fantasy movies, especially when there is a new outlook on an old classic. This one was excellent.
