I'm reviewing the 3D Blu-ray. Looks great and demo quality as far as 2D goes, and the 3D is rather good as well (but don't expect much in-your-face stuff as I wish there were a bit of that). Very immersive sound if you have the proper 7.1 surround setup (even 5.1 would sound great). I liked the movie, but without the sonic and visual quality, it would not rank nearly as high on my list.

I love the idea of taking a cartoon classic and turning it into a live action film. Cinderella was pure magic and The Jungle Book continues that trend. The CG in this film is first rate. The voices of the animals are perfectly cast. But it's the star of the movie, a 10 year old named Neel Sethi who carries the entire picture. He is so charming, you want to see how his adventures turn out.

Disney did a great job adapting the Jungle Book to a live action movie, while keeping the feel of the original animated feature. I also love the fact that it would appear that Disney is starting to release their 3D movies on Blu-Ray 3D again. They've always had the best multi-disc releases. Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Copy and they even have the cool lenticular 3D slip cover.

Jon Favreau has managed to take a Disney classic and update it to the digital world for a whole new generation. It is a visually impressive film with a fantastic voice cast. The entire movie is CGI except for the young boy, Mowgli, and I doubt you will even notice. If you are a Disney fan this is a must own movie. Even if you are not a Disney fan it might be worth checking out.

As a remake of Disney's animated adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book", this is an outstanding film. I believe the voice acting was appropriate, giving each animal character a degree of depth that made it very appealing. The plot has been well adapted for an older audience, while still being a great family movie. I recommend it to everyone.

Purchased "The Jungle Book" for my wife since it was one of her childhood favorite movies. The talking animals are very realistic in appearance and the storyline is well thought out. Lots of action and beautiful jungle scenery to enjoy, plus an upbeat soundtrack that will be sure to have you snapping your fingers & tapping your toes. Appropriate for all ages young and old

You will believe animals can really talk! This entire movie is CGI with the exception of the main Character...plants, animals...everything...looks so real, they really out did themselves. Voice acting is top notch and with Christopher Walken singing as Big Louie the highlight. Fun for any age but might be a little scary for really young kids.A must for your collection.

Years ago, when Toy Story came out, I remember thinking that it represented a technological milestone in the realm of animation. The same is true of this film. It is just as, if not more, remarkable a leap forward. Add to that some wonderful art direction, superb acting, and a screenplay that adds great depth to this Disney classic. A brilliant homage to the original.

Great story line for youngsters. It's the adventure of a youth growing up and how the animals and jungle becomes his teacher. The youth must use his wit to overcome conflict with his enemy. The new version cinema photography is outstanding. The animals look as though they are really talking.

This was a real classic growing up, became more fun with Disney making it into an animated movie and now, they only made it better! The BluRay was breathtaking. Watching it, you didn't know whether the animals were real or CGI. The behind the scenes helped unveil the magic! Quality story, quality production and all you'd want on a BluRay. Very enjoyable!

Having had a sour experience on some of the earlier live action versions of the Jungle Book, I had not planned on buying this movie. It was my wife who said she wanted it. I was very pleasantly surprised when I watched this movie as I got enthralled with the storytelling. This is probably the best version of this movie I have ever seen. Well worth the purchase.

No 3D no 4K. Disney is too money hungry.

The movie itself is terrific, I am complaining about disney and it's additional release with 3D later or no 3D release at all. There is no 4K option as well, just to let you know disney as corporation look to make too much money off its consumer rather than treating them as royal customer. Soon as Universal or Dreamworks or Pixar get a media organization together to take on disney and all their greedy shortcoming, I think I'll stop buy 3 version of the same movie.

I saw this movie in the theater and loved it. the DVD was a gift , and he told me that he loved it too. The young man who received it, does not speak much English, so I always have to look for a DVD that is available in Spanish. and this one was. I would recommend this movie to anyone, young or old. It even has some of the familiar songs from the original.

Disney did a wonderful job at taking a classic & making it so old timers like myself could enjoy it without being distracted by the well known, well loved original. The CGI was phenomenal & the kid (only human in the movie) was outstanding. Were it not for the music which I was able to sing along to, I would not have liked it as much. Music is everything.

I've watched all the other versions of Mowgli & so had to get this one too. Live action's always quite a bit different than animation and this one makes full use of the advances in special effects. The buffalo stampede is particularly effective. The wild animals may be a tiny bit scary for very young kids, but the story's lots of fun for the rest of us!

I have to say, I was very impressed! The CGI is top notch! The Bill Murray and Christopher Walken were a hoot in their characters Baloo and King Louie. Idris Elba fierce and quite scary as Shere Khan but my hat goes off to the young man playing Mowgli... Neel Sethi! This young man deserves an Oscar! I think Rudyard Kipling would have been happy with it!

This is an excellent movie. I was hesitant at first because I love the cartoon and the movie from the 90's. This movie was awesome and very funny. My nephew watched it five times in a weekend. Disney did a great job with the animals, making them look very realistic and the little boy was adorable. Highly recommend this. Kids of all ages will love it.

I initially purchased this to see if it was appropriate for my grandchildren (less than 4 yrs old) to watch. I thought it was a little too violent and scary for them in parts, but I absolutely loved the movie myself! The story is terrific and the compositing blends CG with real scenery seamlessly. It was totally immersive. I really loved this movie.

My littles are 6 and 4 yo girls. I lIked the movie a lot when I watched it with the youngest in the theater. Now the girls enjoy the animal scenes but get tired of the entire movie. We also do not know why thy always have to put big snake scenes or other irrelevant scary scenes to the plot in the movie. "No daddy, I don't wanticipate to watch that movie because of the snake. Brave, the bear. Dragon. Disgusting other giants. Make ano antagonist, but make it child appropriate. So we have to skip much of the movie. Where have Aladin and lion King gone?
