As a kid I saw the Disney animated original. This live version does the animated predecessor justice and actually out dose it. From beginning to the climactic ending I was completely captivated. Story, incredible voice acting & acting and great action scenes were all wonderfully done and remained very faithful to the animated version. Disney. I was really impressed by the CGI animated animals throughout the movie. Incredibly animated and looked extremely real!! Great movie for the entire family Well. Well done disney.

Was a very great movie from start to finish. From the adventure to the action to the musical. Each voice character was amazing. This was a perfect movie from what I grew up watching.

This is a very enjoyable movie. The picture quality looks fantastic. Some really funny moments, and the animals look very life-like. The SteelBook looks awesome as well. Definitely a must see in 4K. Full screen also.

The live action cash grab is questionable of course, begging the question do we really NEED live action versions of Jungle Book, and Cinderella, and the Lion King, and Aladdin, and Dumbo. In the time of a Mary Poppins sequel, what separates a movie from being a cash grab is perhaps if it has something new or important to add, but ultimately these are family movies and if the point is just to entertain and show that we can do something new with the technology I'd say Jungle Book does it. It may be a big scary for a very young audience, which is of course its best audience, and Bill Murray and Christopher Walken both feel underused, but if you want to see a believable take on live action animals that look like they're successfully anthropomorphized by a director who certainly knows what he's doing and a cast that, even when underutilized, shines, this movie does it. Don't look for a new redefined Jungle Book, but be willing to be dazzled by how far technology has come and to be charmed by a few familiar voices coming from bodies you either never expected or have secretly hoped for for years.

It is not like the animation and the characters where not the same but made sense. Watch the extra and they explained why and they make some good points. Over all the the film was good and intertaining. I did doe felt short the second time we watched it. Seen it so far in multiple languages and they did a fantastic job with the matching original voice actors. Thinking of watching this again on a camping trip with my friends and their kids(no popcorn but march mellows).

I know this isn't the first live action version from Disney's Jungle Book (that would be the 1994 one with Jason Scott Lee), but this one has better visual effects and the 3D is an added bonus (for those who enjoy the 3D version)! One of the last live action Disney movies to receive a 3D Blu-Ray release in the United States (for Beauty and the Beast 3D, you have to order *outside* of the U.S.)!

This movie turned out way better than I thought it would. The graphics look really well put together with a very well put together storyline. If you’re a fan of the animated Jungle Book, then you should see this love action version.

Wonderful tale of Mowgli, the man-cub, and his jungle friends fight Shere Khan. The animal and jungle special effects make you feel like they are real and you could really be there too.

We were living abroad and my son was about 2 years old when we got a hold of a copy of the original Disney Jungle Book cartoon movie. We probably saw it (along with The Land Before Time and the original Adam West Batman movie) about a gazillion times over the course of a year. His choice, not ours. We almost had the three movies memorized line by line when, thankfully, we got a Winnie-the-Pooh movie to break up the flow. When this update to Jungle Book came out I was moderately interested. After I read a few reviews on Best Buy's site I thought it might be worth a look and we bought the Blu-Ray edition. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly and when my son came to visit two weeks later, we watched again with him. (How's that for payback?) I personally think that computerized effects are often over-used and now near-boring, but this time around, the makers really hit the mark. For those who don't know, the movie was almost entirely computer-generated and very life-like. Snotty, opinionated, know-it-all Hollywood actors better be fearing for their jobs because now it appears that they can be replaced AND not missed. It was nice that a few of the songs from the original managed to find their way into this movie. A fun lil bonus was the way the movie handled the credits at the end. If you are into watching the extras, don't miss the footage of Christopher Walken doing his voice-over for his character. He was made for the part and vice versa. We watched the blu-ray on a 4k Sony TV so the picture was upscaled and stunning. Definitely worth watching again, and again... and maybe again. History DOES repeat itself.

No matter how many times I've seen this movie, the CGI still makes me believe that what I'm looking at is real. That is a sign of a magical movie.
