This is a weak 3 out of 5. The graphics look great but the gameplay/controls are frustrating and not sure what to do in the game. Camera motions/picture is hard to see and hard to know what to do next.

This game was announced years ago for the PS3 and has been in development h3ll since. Much like the iconic Ico and Shadow of the Colossus you play a lone person in a mysterious and beautiful world. You find yourself imprisoned with a large bird/dog creature (and it behaves like a cat). You befriend it and figure out why you got captured and where you are. It's a moving and emotional game marred by some control and pacing issues. The super long dev cycle and rush to finish shows but it's still a great experience. If you love Ico and Colossus then you will love The Last Guardian.

So even though it took a billion years for this game to come out, it doesn't feel like something antiquated. There isn't anything else like it on the market, and the development team has done a great job in making him feel like a real creature rather that a robotic AI companion that just happens to be fuzzy.

I'm writing this early as I just started playing, but I can tell already this is gonna be one of those that you don't want to end, some clunky control, but it's still totally worth playing........turn up the home theater,Trico sounds great!

A compelling follow up to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. It's a beautiful and emotional experience, but the controls are extremely frustrating. Patience required, but recommended to those interested in a more thoughtful/artistic game.

I kind of can't believe I'm finally playing this after so many years of hearing about it. It's a beautiful looking game, and fairly simple to play. You lead a big fluffy creature around to get out of a maze-like world and solve environmental puzzles. In this sense, the mechanics are a bit old (classic?). You may need to get used to the controls and camera angles at first. This is also a slower-paced game. The creature's behaviors are adorable and life-like (puppy-like). There are some action-y parts. A worthwhile game if you like this sort of play-style.

Last Guardian is a game filled with creativity and a great artistic design. The game forges a friendship between the 2 main characters without any direct dialogue. As you play it becomes clear that they need each other to escape their prison, and this helps to attach the player to the gameplay. The downside is that controls were not as responsive, which can create issues during platforming segments, and the camera is horrible in small corridors, mostly because Trico is so large. Overall this game is a memorable experience and worth playing.

A game almost 10 years in the making, The Last Guardian has finally come out. It really is a blast to play overall. Fans of Ueda's previous games will enjoy the familiar loneliness one feels as he plays through the game. The game does have a number of rough frame drops, especially in the open. You can tell the game engine is chugging hard. But underneath the performance issues is a very touching story of a boy and his connection to the beast that is controlled throughout the game. A very enjoyable experience when it's all said and done.

This game is a lot of fun and developing the relationship with the main character and Trico adds an interesting dynamic to the game. The controls could use some work, but overall it is fun exploring the world in this game.

For lovers of adventure games, there are more creative and inspirational ideas in the first two hours of The Last Guardian than in most full games. The art direction is beautiful, the level design is top notch. The controls are temperamental (hey, i's a Team ICO game after all!) However, the star of the show is your pet Trico, I don't believe I have seen a videogame character with a unique personality and behavior so fleshed out. This alone is worth the purchase. A classic game only marred by a few technical and control glitches.

I grew up playing 8 bit NES and these were the types of games we all dreamed about playing. Huge monsters/Animals that were larger than life. In this game you have one as a pet to help you on your quest. The only flaw I have with this game is the controls. They feel awkward especially for the first few hours but then you sorta get used to it because the puzzles/graphics story bring you in. If controls were better I would give this game a 5 star rating. This one is on sale so don't miss out.

The Last Guardian is a fun puzzle solving game, that's also plagued by wonky controls and a sometimes less than responsive AI partner. Some might say this was intentional, but it also kinda feels like an old game that was never able to be updated to the types of controls we're used to now. It's hard to fully recommend this game, but if you like a slightly different game that involves constantly figuring out how to get to the next area, and you liked Shadow of the Colossus, then by all means this game is for you.

If you don't know the history about this game its worth looking into. It had a very troubled development and despite that is a unique and worthwhile experience. I picked this up under 20 and it is well worth it.

Pretty fun game sometimes the monster doesn’t listen to you or it’s kindnof hard to find out where you gotta go because you can’t see it or you don’t know if you’re able to go that way but other than that it’s a fun game...I highly recommend this to anyone

This game has a great story, and although linear, you are free to experience the game at your own pace. The controls are often difficult to understand and use. Part of the fun is interacting with the guardian and dealing with a character who really feels like a real animal; he doesn't always do exactly what you want him to. All the struggles aside, the game is a fun story to experience; just be patient and walk away if you start getting frustrated.

The Last Guardian has the highest highs and lowest lows of nearly any game I’ve ever reviewed. When it works, the bond I forged with my furry and feathered friend Trico is unlike any other. Part playful companion, part protector, navigating Team Ico’s gorgeous, melancholy world alongside this birddog is something I will never forget. But between those moments, The Last Guardian is a mess of wonky controls, a poor camera, and some annoyingly finicky puzzles.
