Great game and series. Very glad to see this part of it wrap up. My game packaging and was demolished though. Thankfully the game was intact.

The story is so engrossing, the world building and characters personalities are exceptional, the lore is some of the best I’ve seen.
Sure the series all start off quite slowly but they sure build up fast. Turn based combat might not be for everybody but I think it works here perfectly.
It’s been years since I have been emotionally invested in a game and this certainly has.
Recommend to anyone for an amazing journey, play them chronologically!!

A great game if you've already played the other Legend of Heroes games. I'm only 6 hours into chapter 1 act 1 of this game. If you plan on playing this game, I recommend playing the other trails of cold steel and trails of the sky.

An exciting conclusion to a phenomenal jrpg series with some of the longest legs I’ve ever experienced. The world build building the Cold Steel series has managed to create is both rich and full. The first game set the foundation for what was to come. The second game faced Class VII with trials and hardships that tested and galvanized friendships. The third game presented a unique perspective for Rean after the events of the war took place in the role of an instructor charged with shaping the new youths of Class VII. The fourth and final entry in the series puts everything on the shoulders of the people that made Class VII infamous in the name. The story is great and manages to answer some burning questions prevalent through the whole series. The sound is arguably the most consistent it has been throughout all 4 games. Most of the voice actors are back save for a few that are obvious (I’m looking at you Lechter) with Sean Chiplock, as always, turning in a stellar performance. Falcom has put some light touches on the aging engine that produces some incredible colors and detail in the monsters, environment and even the interior of buildings. It’s an aesthetic that will age beautifully in the years to come and I’m happy to report the performance on PS4 Pro is outstanding! For some reason I experienced some heavy stuttering during certain cutscenes but those are nothing to take away from the experience as a whole by any means.
If you are a first time Cold Steel newcomer then I urge you to go play 1-3 before starting 4. I’d even argue the whole experience of 3 would be even better if you experienced the Crossbell series which takes place between Cold Steel 2 and 3.
If you’re a Cold Steel fan then you don’t need to read any reviews to know you need this game in your collection. It wraps up some loose ends nicely and brings the series to a conclusion that’s fitting.

One of the best I’ve played. It’s a JRPG with movie-like features and clips. Great story and while they say you can play it as a stand-alone, it makes more sense to have played the previous one (III) before as the overall story just fits much better. Well worth the time to play.

What a great game in the series. I've played all of them and this game is underrated to the max. The story, gameplay, all of it is worth getting the whole series 1-4.

I got the Frontline Edition because there was no standard edition, but I can not complain because I got the soundtrack and an art-book (the size of a game manual).
Honestly, it is my first time playing this series, but I heard great things about it, so that is why I picked it up. Looking at the previous titles, the games do skyrocket in price, so if you are hesitant, I advise you to pick up the game before you cannot find it at retail stores.
For shipping, the game came in great condition and came the next day.

It’s a nice way to conclude the series. I’ve played through CS 1-3 for the last month and it’s crazy to see how it’s all been built up to this. One thing to note is that you’ll need some experience with the trails in the sky games on steam/psp and the crossbell games that are exclusive to japan. Otherwise, you could get by with just the cold steel games.

This is the 4th entry of the 3rd(?) arc in an AMAZING Falcom rpg series. You're going to want to have at least played through the previous cold steel games (1-3) before playing this one. It's an amazing series!. This was my favorite so far of the cold steel games.

Just as awesome as the earlier games in the series. However, I would recommend playing the earlier Trails games first before going into this one because the stories all connect. That would be a significant time investment, but it is worth it in my opinion if you like great stories in JRPGs.

Great game in an amazing series. It's hard to describe since this game is so story focused but the story is intense and will keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are very unique and charming. With that said, you must at least play the earlier games in the series otherwise you won't get the full impact.

The finale of the Legend of Heroes Sky, Crossbell, and Cold Steel series. It is a good game though I recommend playing this last after the Sky, Crossbell, and Cold Steel series. It has a detailed art book and a great soundtrack.

This is the final chapter of the cold steel saga. The combat has improved a lot since the first cold steel game, and in order to understand the story completely you need to play the other three past games. Other than that, I cannot wait what The legend of Heroes story will be next.

Excellent continuation of the series. You will need to play Trails of Cold Steel 1, 2, and 3 before playing this game. If you don't then you will be very confused and it will not be fun.

If you have this game you probably have already played all the other ones in the series and already know what you are in for. I liked the culmination of most of trails heroes brought together in the end, which was very cool for long time fans.

An amazing end to an absolutely must play jrpg franchise! The relationships that have been built and the time didn't with these characters is some of my most rewarding time as a gamer.
