I first saw this movie on Apple TV and wanted to buy it, but for the price I decided to hold out. Saw it online at Best Buy for a great price and purchased it. I can’t wait to see it. The previews looked great and reviews were good as well. Shipping was fast too.

Had been wanting to see this movie for a long time, had trouble finding but Best Buy had it. This is one of my best Movie purchases in a long time.

"The Light Between Oceans" tells the story of an island couple who desperately want a child. As fate would have it, a baby washes ashore in a boat and they must decide whether to keep the baby or to alert authorities. This movie does an excellent job in portraying the morality struggle people endure when faced with matters of the heart. Poignant performances by both lead actors and sure to bring a tear to your eye.

The wife and I watched this movie over two nights. We watched the first half and thought it was beautifully shot, but the story was a very slow paced one that made us a bit sleepy. The next night we decided to go ahead and finish the movie and the 2nd half was much more interesting and exciting. The pace definitely picked up and made the rest of the movie enjoyable to watch. Patience pays off on this one.

What a memorable experience, watching this film! Beautiful scenery, acting and score lift this captivating story to higher levels. Don't forget to watch the "Making Of" as well, since it gives you an idea of what the director asked his cast to do in order to prepare for their roles. And Vikander and Fassbender have been a true life couple ever since their meeting on the set of this production. Sparks do fly!

Fassbender as usual delivers a great performance. This movie allows us to see the guilt that lies from trying to be happy when honesty is at stake. It shows how the love between a lighthouse keeper and his wife becomes entangled with guilt upon adopting a child washed ashore and how that affected their relationship. Just great acting from this movie from both the lead characters.

A heartrending story with top notch acting. We’re all flawed and certain choices made in the film manifest those fundamental weaknesses. That said, in my opinion, this film has the best representation of a long-distance relationship I’ve ever seen; beautiful. The music score also lends its weight to this tragically beautiful film.

The movie was very well shot and sound quality was excellent. The story line had a nice pace to it. The moral of the story was something that everyone should learn. Overall the movie was quite emotional, at times. I would highly recommend this movie to all. It addresses real life decisions, that real people have had to make in life.

I love Cianfrance films. I enjoy them more than the average person. It's different from his film Blue Valentine or Beyond the Pines. But its a great performance from Fassbender and Vikander. An emotional story and the blu ray has great picture quality.

Heart wrenching but so good. I love this real life couple, perfect for these roles. I would like to read book to see if its close to movie or if it misses alot. But I will watch this again and totally recommend it. It was a great movie

I read this book a few times before the movie came out. I was impressed. Excellent acting and very good connections between the characters. Original plot. Very emotional movie. Made me question what would I do in their situation.

I saw this movie when it was released, and I'm looking forward to getting the blu ray. For me, this was the best film of the year. Why the critics slammed it, I have no idea. If you missed the film in theaters, don't miss it now.

Very well directed & acted movie especially from Micheal Fassbender! Great story about human connections & how far you would go for the ones you love. Definitely a must see for fans a love stories & the human moral behaviors.

I read this historical fiction book before the movie was produced and was very excited for it to come out on bluray. It's been listed a steady $23+ since it came out though! Very high price for a non-blockbuster film.

This is a very good adaptation of the book. Great acting, great cinematography. Just keep in mind that this is a slow movie, because it's more about the characters than the plot (though the plot is good as well!).

This a very enotional film. The acting is top notch by Michael Fassbender and Alicia Avila set. It also looks and sounds great on Blu-ray. Disney/Buena Vista distributed this Blu-ray and they always do a good job.

While a little more heavy pulling the heartstrings than the excellent book by M. L. Stedman that is based, this is a noble effort. The two leads Fassbender and Vikander really sell this one.

Saw this in the theaters and have never cried so much. Not sure why I buy these movies. Absolutely do not see this movie if you have ever lost a baby. Other than that, prepare for a tear jerker.

I loved this movie so much when I saw it in the theatres, I didn't think I would but it was awesome! I couldn't wait until it came out on blu Ray so I could buy it! I highly recommend! 5 Stars!!
