Great 4k film with solid HDR and atmos score. Watch it on my epson 4k projector.

I was happy with my purchase of the movie "The Magnificent Seven" in blue ray format. I really enjoyed it; it was very entertaining from the beginning to the end and it was a great deal for the price.

This Modern version of The Magnificent Seven An update of the 1960s classic refreshes the racial mix but leaves the cliches intact. Antoine Fuqua’s remake of John Sturges’s 1960 western stirs up the racial mix of the seven gunfighters a little. Leading the team is Denzel Washington’s cool-headed Chisholm; he is backed up by, among others, the South Korean actor Byung-hun Lee playing the knife specialist Billy Rocks; Manuel Garcia-Rulfo stars as the Mexican bad boy Vasquez and the Native American actor Martin Sensmeier, rather underserved in the way of dialogue, as the Comanche warrior Red Harvest.

This is an excellent 4K movie. The visual effects will impress any enthusiastic movie aficionados. The story is well written, and the actors are best of the best, in every scene.This will easily go in the collection, of great movies. Thank you Best Buy.

I like most westerns.Unfortunately, not many made these days. This was good to add to my collection. The historical story was presented deep within a Western setting which kept the predictability acceptable. Nice scenery. Denzel looked awkward at first but later more convincing in his unusual role as a cowboy. Not spectacular but worth an evening's entertainment.

The film is very action packed and has a great story about revenge and camaraderie. I highly recommend it if you love westerns. It also has a very good musical score which is perfectly complements the mood of the film.

I was very surprised with how much I liked this movie. The cast and the plot worked very well. Plus, the steelbook was very nice. Definitely recommend this film.

Great movie, lots of action. the original was better but this one's not far behind, still worth owning.

Received the movie and was excited cause I love western movies but it didn't come with the digital copy it was just the blue ray dvd not like in the photo

Best Buy’s website indicated there was some in stock at a nearby store. I ordered and picked it up at the store through curbside pickup. The item is in absolutely horrible condition. It was re-wrapped and it very clearly had already been opened previously, no original plastic wrapping. The original wrapping can actually be seen stuck to the case in a couple spots. The case was cracked and chipped in several places and doesn’t even snap closed. Several scrapes across the sleeve. I was able to buff out most of the scratches on the disc with a microfiber cloth. There is no way Best Buy would ever try to put this on the shelf and sell it. The condition really makes me wonder if this is even a new copy. Seems highly unlikely. I’ve been a Best Buy customer for years and have never written a negative review, but the condition of this product is unacceptable. I’d seen the movie in theaters. Enjoyable movie. But I’d have to suggest buying it somewhere other than Best Buy.

Great makeover of original movie! Like the characters! All come together for a cause! Denzel Washington excellent job!!

This is ANOTHER Hollywood remake of a classic movie, and I only bought it because of the seriously star studded cast - Denzel Washington, Chriss Pratt, Ethen Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard, Matt Bomer, Cam Gigandet --- just to name a few! If you love westerns with lots of BIG HOLLYWOOD special effects than this is a great movie for you! Take it at face value and this is a rewarding movie!

If the sight of Denzel Washington, guns blazing and saddled up for his first western, doesn't get your pulse racing, read elsewhere t's certainly fun, and a spectacle to behold in IMAX, but if you're going to remake the 1960 classic, which starred Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen, you need to make a cinematic cavalry charge into the territory of modern sensibilities.

Superb cast, excellent script, realistic setting and the feel of the best of the classic westerns. Character development such that you care for each character and revel in their triumphs and mourn their losses. At a bargain price this gem was a steal for an afternoon's enjoyment with the family. If you like old westerns you'll love this like we did!

The storyline of this DVD is one of hope given to a western town which, for all practical purposes, is forcefully “owned” by the owner of a large mining company. The spilling of townsman blood causes a widow to recruit help from an assembled group of 7 talented men “with the bark on” who take up the challenge to upset the attempted takeover of the town by force.

Well Blazing Saddles this isn't, and I don't know that any actor dead or alive could top Yul Brynner as Chris in the original. Denzel gives his usual top level performance though. Chris Pratt and the addition of some more contemporary names update this. But when the original starred Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn and James Coburn, it's a tall order to improve upon it. Decent film.

Yes, this is another remake of an old movie. The cast is good and the story is pretty much the same. The actions is of course updated and visually better. So there is an upside to watching this version of the remake. It is a movie to add to your collection and it is very entertaining.

I am cheap sometimes, and I will pick up a Blu Ray when it is on sale and includes some nice extras. I got this one on a BOGO sale with another title both prices at $7.99, so really I only paid $4 for the Blu Ray and it has a load of bonus features and includes the digital copy too. I like Westerns and it has a great cast and crew.
