Your children need a wise adult to help with some frightening, sad, and disturbing dialogue that even many adults could be scared and disturbed. Too bad the ending was not a fantasy, but back to city reality. This film encourages student truancy as Bastion never went back to his school classes in the film. Otherwise it is entertaining, even with all its characters' flaws and confused ideologies.

Turned my son on to this movie. Loved it as a child, and as an adult I see all the great lessons and consequences presented and how to best handle the results. Last saw this movie on VHS -- it's almost like watching a whole new movie when viewing in UHD (Blu-Ray on 4K TV) - amazing!!

This is a cool storybook movie. Filled with adventures, gallant and valiant heroes, and princesses. Suffice to say the movie doesn't live up to it's titular prospect -- but it's legacy certainly does. Also shout out to Wolfgang Petersen, who did the best 1990's Clint Eastwood movie that Clint didn't direct -- IN THE LINE OF FIRE. BOOM.

FInally, the movie is on Blu-ray, but the transfer isn't as great, although, it's not bad either. It's a lot better than what you'll see on TV or DVD. The audio is nice, the picture quality could be better, but, I enjoyed it after not having seen it since I was 8 years old in the 1980s. Last time I saw it, it was on regular prime time TV.

The NeverEnding Story is a great movie to watch with the family. This movie was shot an a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, so expect black bars on the top and bottom. The picture quality is average, with a few issues such as being too bright or too dark. The audio track is decent, with an unfortunate artificial feel with the mixing.

I really enjoyed the spiritual aspect of the film. Life is all about discovery and the movie shows that we need to be spiritual warriors to become the best person we can be.

Glad to have added this one to my Blu ray collection

This movie is a great, classic family movie. Was certainly a favorite when my kids were young. Now that they are grown, they still watch and love this movie.

IT IS SO 80s! But it's still good. Doesn't shy away from dark moments like so many kids movies. (The other two are Dark Crystal and Secret of Nimh, btw.)

Bought this as a gift for my brother as this was his favorite movie growing up. I borrowed it from him so my grandkids could watch it too.

The picture is basically a copy of the original and not remastered like the extra feature on it claims at least from what I saw watching it. The bonus is a Wolfgang Peterson commentary track and a vintage documentary. If you don't own this yet, you should.

This is one of those movies that people forget about. It is too bad because it still holds up. I showed it to my kids and they loved it.

It is a Classic indeed that you need to watch again. The whole family can enjoy it too. Good story and message make this film a must see

This is a movie I grew up watching and now I get to share it with my kids. They are 16 and 11 and they still love it as well!

The Never ending story is one of my favorite fantasy movies and I have owned it on VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray. I was a bit hesitant to upgrade to the Anniversary edition of the Blu-ray until I saw that it had loads of extras features like a "Making Of". The original Blu-ray has zero bonus features. Nothing. That already made it worth re-buying, but the film transfer has also been cleaned up and looks the best I've ever seen it with no film specs or scratches. If you own the plain version of the Blu-ray, do yourself a favor and upgrade, you'll be glad you did.

This is an excited adventure of a movie though the scene where the horse can be saddening for younger kids.

Picture quality is great. Bought the movie for kids. What more is there to say...it’s the never ending story.

Fantastic fantasy movie. If you lived through the 80s and didn't see this, your childhood stinks.

This film is a classic. They just don't make them like this anymore. It's too bad the sequels fell flat.
