    A classic from the 70s (Oscar for Best Picture 1973) comes to 4K. While not as great a 4K transfer as “Jaws “ or “Spartacus “ or “Vertigo “, it’s probably the best the film has ever looked on home video, and well worth grabbing.

    Nice transfer of this great film. However, it is not a reference quality presentation. Maybe the film elements are too damaged. This is the best it has ever looked but don't expect to be completely blown away.

    As far as the packaging is concerned, this is a sleek release with cover art respecting the original title design of the film. The image of the 4K disc received a 3.5/5 rating and Blu-Ray disc a 2.8/5 on bluray.com. However, I imagine that this release will serve as the definitive home video version of this film for some time to come.
