    Excellent WWII post war suspense movie starring Edward G. Robinson, Orsen Wells and Loretta Young. Wells also directed. All three actors showcased their major movie actors talents.

    If you're an Orson Welles fan you'll love The Stranger. Beautifully restored and available at a great price from Best Buy. Great spy film noir classic with Edward G Robinson playing the good guy. Slow at first but grabs you and wont let go. Worth watching.

    Watched it several times as a teen several years ago.. Great story line and great performances by classic actors that were well ahead of their time. Give it a try.

    I don't know if the dvd you sent me is defective or my dvd player. My dvd player has worked in the past, so I don't know what went wrong. The dvd was called The Stranger with Orson Wells.

    Very good Orsen Wells film. He is a stinker in it and many reviews like to point out how impossible many of the scenes are. As Hitchcock once said, "if you want facts, watch a documentary, if you want to be entertained, watch a movie."
