  • A Selection from the TV Series, not the movie

    I purchased this thinking it was a bare bones version of The Third Man movie starring Joseph Cotten, with Orson Welles as Harry Lime. It is not the movie. This is a set of episodes from the television series starring Michael Rennie as Lime and Jonathan Harris (of Lost in Space fame) as his office assistant. If you want the movie, you'll need to keep looking (as I will). The episodes were transferred from old tapes, so the video quality is spotty in parts and the audio not entirely understandable. They were entertaining and worth watching, especially if you enjoy the classic television shows. The entire series is not reproduced here, so do not expect completeness. Apparently the episodes selected were the ones in the best condition on the original film.
