Sean Connery won the best supporting actor Oscar for his performance and he must have a chuckle every time he sees the trophy, reveling in the knowledge that he pulled one over the Oscar jury. He's a great Scot with a Scottish lilt to his voice that he couldn't hide even when playing an Irish cop, and that lilt often came over in his James Bond days too. That criticism aside this is a beautifully crafted film in my opinion, with Brian De Palma setting out 30's Chicago and the period American settings wonderfully well giving us the feel of the times. Loved the set-up of the major events in the film and even the minor skirmishes between the protagonists such as a shooting in a lift and Capone's dinner table meeting with his cohorts, all were skillfully directed, and chilling too.

My second favorite film by Brian De Palma. He directs a instant classic crime story that’s very Hitchcockian. Kevin Costner and Sir Sean Connery as the leads go up against Al Capone played by Robert De Niro. Musical score by the late great Ennio Morricone is stellar. Best scene is takes place at a train station and I’ll leave it at that.

Received a return product, that was reshrink and under the reshrink had damage to the plastic cover and a piece of the original plastic wrapping still stuck to the case. Also came with No slip Cover as shown in advertised picture. All star loses are pure presentation of movie an Best Buy to ship me a 2nd hand, I Reccommend buying it but not from Best Buy

The box cover art for this release is great. The picture quality of this 4k release is not mind blowing, but I believe this is due to the fact that the film was made in the late 80s. The movie itself is in De Palma's top 5 films. It has a great cast and set pieces. The camera movement is amazing. Also, Ennior Morricone's score is one of the best.

Paramount provides a substantial upgrade over the ancient 1080p release for both picture and audio, even porting all of the legacy supplemental content. Unfortunately, there is no 1080p release included in this set, remastered or otherwise. Absolutely worth the upgrade, though.

I had never seen this movie before, and it was fantastic! Great performances, cinematography, and Ennio Morricone score make this a movie to watch. The UHD looks and sounds great as well. The special features were good but I wish there was more.

All in all this movie is a riveting story which is highly recommendable to all fans of crime & gangster movies, as I would say "True Gangster Greatness", Although belonging to a typical genre, this film certainly stands out. Don't miss it!.....

The Untouchables is a tremendous story about Elliott Ness and his band of Untouchables who bring down Al Capone. Sean Connery gives an amazing performance along with Robert DeNiro. Great pacing and good build-up to the ultimate conclusion.

This movie is excellent, and this 4K remaster just makes you enjoy watching this class that much more. I own the blu-ray copy of this movie, but the 4K version outdoes its predecessor.

I was waiting for this movie to finally get its 4k release and boy did it NOT disappoint! Amazing cast, great filmmaking, memorable music, and just a great story! It's a classic.

This is a fantastic upgrade over the previous Blu-ray and has never looked better! The picture is fantastic and it sounds terrific. Definitely recommend picking this up.
