    Classic. I love the scene with Swan and Mercy on the train near the end and they see the middle class kids with their prom dates who seem to look down on them with both fear and prejudice - Mercy goes to straighten her messed hair to improve her image and Swan grabs her hand as if to say ‘dont you dare change who you are, not for them’. A true classic moment of cinema and easily the best scene in an already legendary film. Walter Hill never directed another movie that was anywhere near as great as this. The theatrical cut is still superior to the director’s cut as the comic book panels detract from the atmosphere and sure, some of the acting is a bit dodgy and the dialogue is a bit naff in places but this movie has energy to burn. Lets get to it, boppers.
