Season 7 of the X-files was great, just like the other seasons. The episode where Mulder finds his sister was gratifying, he can now rest regarding that subject. Highly recommended!

X-Files season 7 continues the story of Mulder and Scully as they investigate unsolved cases that have a paranormal element to them in an attempt to find the truth.

The seventh season of the American science fiction television series The X-Files commenced airing on the Fox network in the United States on November 7, 1999, concluded on May 21, 2000, and consists of twenty-two episodes. Taking place after the destruction of the Syndicate, this season marks the end of various other story lines; during this season, Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) learned the true fate of his sister, Samantha. The season concludes with Mulder being abducted by aliens and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) learning that she is pregnant. Before the broadcasting for the season began, Duchovny sued Fox and eventually announced his decision to leave the show. As a result, the season would be the last to feature Duchovny in a full-time capacity, although he would return in later seasons as an intermittent main character. Due to this eventual character change, this season would be the last to feature the original opening sequence for the series, as the two later years updated the intro in an attempt to renew and revive the series. The seventh season premiere "The Sixth Extinction", debuted with a Nielsen rating of 10.6 and was viewed by 17.82 million viewers, marking a noticeable drop in viewership since the sixth season. The series fell from number 12 to number 29 for the 1999–2000 television year. Critically, the show's seventh season received mixed to positive reviews; many reviewers felt that the show still produced good episodes, but that it was the weakest of the Duchovny and Anderson seasons of the show.

In a world of cookie cutter entertainments, The X-Files was largely sui generis and continues to be one of the more distinctive entries in series television of the past couple of decades. Fans are already jonesin' for the reboot, but will at least have this massive new set to keep them knee high (or higher) in conspiracy theory until the new version begins airing in 2016. While some fans are understandably upset about the absence of the original aspect ratios for the first few seasons and/or the kind of weird decision to replace the show's iconic fonts, when taking this release as a whole, The X-Files: season 7 blu comes Highly recommended.

If you are reading this review then you are an X Files fan. This is hands down one of the best science fiction series out there, I was sad when the series ended. I purchased all 9 seasons on DVD and very happy with the series on DVD with one complaint, the inability to watch each show consecutively. Currently, when an episode ends, I have to select the next one and click play, I don’t know what they were thinking when they created these DVD’s but they are all like this. I want to be able to click play and watch the all episodes on the DVD without being prompted click play just to watch the next episode.

X-files is a really entertaining sci-fi drama, with conspiracies, aliens, government coverups, monsters, phenomena, a nice gamut of material. The characters are both likeable with their own sets of flaws that put them on opposite sides of the argument most times. For me this entire series is a must own. Buy the seasons separately and you will save $90 to $120 vs the price of the box set, which is completely identical except is has a box. Season 7 is Mulders last full season, after which the character is around less.

This was David Duchovny's last full season on the show (prior to the current revival) and it delivers in true 'The X-Files' style! Starting off with duo of 'The Sixth Extinction' and 'The Sixth Extinction: Amor Fati', this season delivers one powerful episode after another all the way up to 'Requiem'. With episodes written and directed by series leads David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, as well as resolution to the Samantha storyline, this is a can't miss season!

I used to wait on pins and needles for a new episode each week. So now to have them all available on bluray is a dream come true. Being able to watch the episodes closer together lets me put together things I missed when the series was on TV. I'm also able to share with my son and nephew who were too young for original. So happy it is available.

The good episodes are really good, but there a few more uneven and bad episodes that in previous seasons. The lawsuit filed by David D. may have affected the mood of everyone involved and it shows. Compared to other seasons it was a low point, but a bad season of the X-Files is still better than almost anything else on the screen.

Picked up the individual seasons on sale at Best Buy. Being an owner of the DVD version of the series, it's AMAZING the transfer to Blu Ray. Almost felt new watching the series again in the format. If you grew up loving the X-Files, pick up the Blu Ray versions of the season...definitely worth the money!

After buying the first two series, Best Buy sent me an email to find out what else I would enjoy. I responded that I would like the remaining seasons and within a week I got an email offering the remaining series at a fantastic price. Good going Best Buy.

This is a great classic drama movie with a twist of Sci-Fi thrown in for good measure. Classic Mulder and Scully interaction. Makes the TV seem even more real today with so much Government cover-ups going on. Maybe not so much the "Little Green Men" part.

Seriously Best Buy had all of the seasons of the X-Files on Blu-Ray on sale for $9.99. That is ridiculously cheap. They were out of most so I ordered them from my tablet as soon as I got in my car, a big thank you to Best Buy for living up to their name.

The GOAT of TV series in my opinion. Sure, like most things it tailed off in the end but that does not take away from the greatness of the first several seasons (this one included). Definite upgrade over the DVDs.

The 7th season is often divisive among fans. Sure there are some clunkers but there's also some solid gold here too. Check it just for the true laughs among the highlights. The glossy Hollywood setting truly shines in HD!

I wouldn't expect anyone to buy this season without already being familiar with the show. So I'll just say the wait for X-Files on blu ray was worth it. For a show of it's age, the picture looks great!

This season has a lot going on. Scully partnering with the Smoking Man, Mulder finding more about his sister, and Scully telling Mulder that she has a bun in the oven. All good times. Check it out.

So happy to finally get the X-files series on Blu-ray! This is a must have for anybody that loved the series and released just in time to re-watch the old episodes before the new series starts.

I ended up getting the collectors box set as well but these in general are great too. Man I have been waiting forever for them to release these....A must have if you are a true X Files FAN!!!!
