Was shocked considering the name and high price point of Thermador products. Thankfully it’s under warranty. Hope I just got a bad unit and it won’t happen again.

Love that the knobs and under a glass cover to ensure that the markings for the burner position and flame intensity don’t fade with cleaning. I definitely am happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone to get it, based on my experience.

Gotta love the 18K BTU burner in the middle. And if you are a real cook, spend the few extra bucks and get the extra-low burners. Fabulous!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this cooktop from Pacific Sales/Best Buy for our new build almost 6 years ago. I loved the way it performed as I cook 2-3 meals a day plus seasonal canning. Three years in, we had to replace the front right igniter/burner. Not a big deal. However, the middle burner igniter went out 2 months ago and the nightmare began. We could not remove the venturi tube! Thermador service is non-exisistent. We live in a rural area and no one would come service it. Independent servicemen refused to touch it. So, we finally decided to dismantle it and replace the parts ourself with the help of a son who is a service tech. Great. Oh, but now we discover that there are NO replacement parts for 5 of the areas needing replaced! No small burners, no venturi tubes, etc. There is a similar model that looks just like ours except for the black glass panel yet the parts are not interchangeable. Disgusted with Thermador that I'm tossing a $1900 cooktop after 6 years doesn't even begin to tell you how sick I am. If you want something to look at, go ahead and buy it. But good luck getting parts to replace them when they wear out!

Disappointed

Two years old and one burner igniter has failed resulting in a $260 repair bill. In addition, all the black decals near the knobs denoting the burner being used/heat level have all rubbed off, although no harsh or abrasive cleaners were used. Thermador customer service was useless. My advice, GO WITH ANOTHER BRAND! NOT WORTH THE PRICE!
