I was replacing my power supply with an identicle version Thermaltake PS. I have no idea why the original one stopped working after replacing (updating) my video card. After purchasing a brand new one from Best Buy, I returned home and tested the PS first by connecting it right to a power outlet. The fan would not come on after switching it on. So in other words, it's a DOA unit. The first one lasted 4 years and the new one never worked. Very dissapointing driving all that ways to find out the unit is dead. I am going to Best Buy in morning to replace the dead unit, but I will test the new next one in Best Buy this next time so I know it works for sure.
The unit will not power on unless you do what is called a paper clip test. Plugging it into a wall outlet and turning it on does nothing. Feel free to reach out to our technical support team for troubleshooting.

We always have good luck with Thermaltake brand components.

Best Buy did not have the type of power supply I needed so I bought a newer version and an adapter. The power supply did not work, probably because it was the motherboard that was actually bad. I had to return the power supply so I can't give an honest review on the quality of the power supply.
