If you are a big fan of stealth game play, hiding in the shadows, planning out every move step by step, and of course that LOOT, then Thief is the game for you! Great story line from start to finish, it truly brings you into the game and makes you feel like a world class thief.

Thief is a very good stealth game for the Xbox one. It has very good graphics and stealth mechanics. The levels are well built and take several plays through to find all the areas available. There are good side missions and mission objectives to broaden each chapter. This game was a little short and could be played in ghost fashion in under 5-6 hours, but with all the extra loot and side missions the game stretches to 15 hours. Story is good with some actual "drop the controller" creepy moments. Can be scaled for beginner to advanced gamers. Best stealth game currently available for Xbox One.

Having only just started playing this game, I haven't seen very much, but the stuff I have seen I am enjoying. The city is oppressive and gloomy, painting a portrait of a city being destroyed by plague and corruption. With all the twists and turns and various paths it's easy to get lost in feeling of this game. The negative is that the real challenge is to get through the levels without touching any NPC. No killing, no knockouts, no suspicions raised. As with most stealth heavy games, guards patrol a set pattern, always turning the same direction and pausing for the same amount of time. This is my biggest frustration with these games. With these new systems, AI should be more random, more lifelike. Give me consequences to taking out the guards. If you were a guard talking to your buddy, and all of a sudden he disappears when you turn your back, would you be concerned? At any rate, this game is a great play and makes me excited to see what the future holds for the new consoles.

it keeps me busy in my mind keeps on going. Like the game have you had a chance to finish it yet I like the courses of it. it's a challenging game would recommend to a friend.

I like fast paced games and this one was all about stealth and it was overall a slow paced game, but it did have a great story and amazing graphics.

Thief is a very good game, it combines Stealth with First Person Shooters, playing it on hard as i did was a very big challenge trying to sneak past enemies was almost impossible as they seem to see you through anything and fighting them was almost impossible because you die in 2 hits, which is why i like it so much because i love when something is actually challenging!

Good game. Thief has some strong stealth mechanics going for it, and getting away unseen with a big haul of loot can be an enormous challenge, but doesn’t always put that to good use. Between the hit-or-miss missions is an extremely annoying city hub map and a weak story full of bland characters, and Garrett himself isn’t as sure-footed as a master thief ought to be. Ignoring the story and cherrypicking the best side missions is the best way to approach it.

The flow of travel can be linear, get to point A from Point B, etc. The options of how you can get there is a bit more free. Having a linear path makes the game a bit shorter in comparison, however games like this have a fantastic back story, and you tend to forget that you're just going through the motions. I like sneaky games, so this hit the mark. Great concept, and fantastic graphics.

The stealth gameplay is awesome. Really worth the price.

I admittedly have never played a Thief game before this entry, so feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt. Overall the stealth mechanics are solid, and go a long way to really make you feel like you're in the shoes of Garrett, the main character. Although I've read reviews that many think the Focus ability takes away from the experience, but I didn't mind it. And there are plenty of options to not only turn that function off, but also make the game more challenging if you wish. The only downside in my opinion is the subpar voice acting and storyline, which I think could use improvement. Overall, I think the game is solid and, especially with the drought in Xbox One games thus far, I would recommend giving it a try.

Loved the game but would have loved it better if I could have played it all the way through. But unfortunately the game decided to start me back at the beginning in the middle of playing and now have to start all over again...

This is an ecellent choice for the stealth game lover. You can either stick to the shadows and avoid enemies or take them out. It's up to you.

If stealth is your thing... then this is for you... many different ways to attack a solution.. not a run and gun type of shooter..so be patient

My son bought this game and he enjoys it a lot. It was on sale for a great price and it keeps him occupied during bad days outside.

The game is very repetitive. The story starts off slow and would not recommend it for someone who is impatient. I would recommend someone to rent it before before buying it. The fighting could be more accelerated only one button to strike.

Thief has a solid story and great stealth action that drives the player forward but some of the mechanics in the game hinder it from reaching its full potential of being one of the defining games with the new generation of consoles. Great graphics great atmosphere and the story is solid. Recommended for at least a single playthrough.

As a gamer, this is not an overly complicated game especially for the cost. Very simple and fun.

I had never played Thief before this. On the Xbox One, the graphics are superb. A little too dark for these old eyes. The story is ok,but really not to my liking. The game mechanics are tougher because of my rookiness with the Thief series. I might try it again after I finish the 6 games I am currently playing.

I loved the older Thief Games that being said this one was just...alright. It was hard to get used to the controls and the voice acting was sub par. I am so used to other first person games the controls took me forever to get used to. I also couldn't marathon this game like I normally can others. The story just didn't grab me. It was a good start to reinventing the franchise and I cant wait to see where they go from here, but this game was just kind of...lacking to me.
