Great set up easy to use and works with most games. I would recommend this to everyone who is looking for a wheel for your pc.

It is possible I missed this in the description when agreeing to review this product, but the Thrustmaster T248 is only packaged with part of what you need to make this a successful experience. The Steering wheel itself has a bracket you can use to clip to the edge of a desk, IT DOES NOT have something you can use to free stand it or sit it on your lap. Not that you would necessarily WANT to sit this on your lap, but not having a dedicated driving simulator cockpit laying around my house, nor a peddle and steering wheel stand and no ability to use this thing without those, I was immediately limited in usability. This rules out the XBOX X|S which is couch and TV ready, not at a desk. The instructions are also clearly aimed at both the wheel and peddles being installed on additional, extra purchase necessary accessories. Connecting to my PC was easy, plug in and attach all the cables. Mount to edge of desk, sit peddled on the floor. I installed the correct divers from the website. My unit needed a firmware update as well, which I applied easily. I booted up Forza 5 and away I went. Immediately when pressing the gas, the car started taking off, steering wheel rumbled, things felt pretty awesome. A few moments later, I had to apply the brakes, I heel toed over to the brakes and the ENTIRE peddle unit flew off the floor, tiled back and became completely unusable. This was due to the fact the peddles were not bolted to the floor. The brake spring is so tight, the entire peddle system moves!!! I had to strategically press on the top edge of the peddle to force it to kind of work. Once I got used to dealing with the shortcomings, and never really got over the peddle pressing brake frustration, I was able to play a couple hour of Forza. Having a true gas peddle to control acceleration was great. The peddle was responsive and the game recognized the input no problem. Steering was precise and shifting with the paddle shifters in manual mode was a lot of fun. When I would occasionally go off the track, or drive on dirt roads, the forced feedback was a nice feature, however, it was a bit aggressive, and didn't feel overly natural. No more realistic than using a controller at least. The XBOX style buttons on the controller, along with menu selection was nice to navigate menus, pause screen, etc. This eliminates the need for an extra controller or use of the keyboard. Overall, the steering wheel felt very cheap. It's mostly plastic with a super fake feeling "leather" around the wheel itself. The red shiny top indicator looks as though it is just a sticker, though I didn't pull on it to find out. I'd have wanted far better quality of this product for the advertised MSRP price tag. It felt like I was using a fisher price child's toy. I feel this product should have red flags ALL over it. First it needs additional, very involved products such as a racing wheel / driving simulator cock pit, or, a free standing, dedicated driving simulator stand. The peddled need to be bolted down to work properly. The overall product feels cheap and overly plastic. While this did make my driving game experience a bit more realistic and fun, I have to make the decision to invest far more money into make it a proper use scenario, or look for alternatives.

I like the wheel its very simple to setup and the force is great for what you pay for the pedals have a real nice feel to them good for using in american truck simulator. I would recomend.

Wheel and pedals are easy to set up and good quality for the price

This has changed the way i play racing games. Feed back is great for a wheel that doesnt cost $1,000. Pedals feel good too with some customization features. I went from fingers swearing to whole body sweating in a long race. Its a great experience. Only thing i would say is the steering wheel itself could maybe look and feel a little better to the touch but easily ignorable while playing.

Pretty fun wheel and has a lot of buttons to bind. Display is pretty cool as well.

Im comparing this to a G920. Basically the same wheel as the G923 for those that dont know. The G923 just has trueforce. Thats it. Ive put some time in using it before writing this review as I put lots of gime into my G920. The wheel is definitely much smoother than the logitech. Which is to be expected since its a hybrid drive. Also, it definetely has more power. The pedals in my opinion are much better since they not only have more space vetween them, but also, are magnetic based instead of potentiometer based. The logitechs have issues with those overtime. In my opinion, this is a better option if you have the money. I paired it with a TH8A shifter since I mostly drive street cars. Its a much better shifter also. Thrustmaster just came out with a budget one also. But I wanted the TH8A since its proven. Go see my review on that here. I give this wheel a solid 10/10. Its great since you can get pedals and a great wheel for realatively inexpensive. If it were me, save your money and get this instead of the logitech.

This is a great combo and it works well. The pedals are very smooth and accurate. The wheel is very comfortable and has great force feedback. It definately lacks power compared to the higher priced direct drives so you lose out on some details like feeling the front tires getting heavier or lighter when the grip amount changes during turns. But the details it can give you is definately great for its price. I would recommend this wheel over most non direct drive wheels (especially if you get it on sale). Thougj if you are willing to spend a little bit more(5-600), you can get a entry level direct drive and load cell pedal combo which would out perform this combo by far. I ended up returning this wheel because it showed me a little taste of what i could have if i spent more. I ended up buying the logitech pro(much higher $) wheel/pedals(which i blame on this wheel for how good it felt getting something nicer than the $100 combos) which is what i will stick with for a while.

This is my first racing wheel/pedal setup since i was a kid with a cheap one for ps2. I got the shifter add on to go with it. For the price range compared to a direct deive setup, i love it! I did get this on sale, and i purchased "excellent condition" open box but nothing is wrong with it. Eventually ill upgrade but it suits my current needs perfectly. As others have stated, it can slide pretty easily and can start to tip backwards if you dont have it supported. If you can rig up something behind it or be mindful of where you rest your heels, its not a big issue. If you have a dedicated stand itd be a non issue. Im using mine on my desk over in front of a second monitor so i dont have to regularly move it and i have no problems. I still cant drift well with it but racing in Asseto Corsa is extremely satisfying

High quality wheel set up. It’s really super close to the real thing. The adaptive force feedback makes it very nice set up. Features allow to adjust for the wheel turning degrees as well as other adjustments and inputs. Pro tip: get you chair set up to go with it, it’s so worth it.

Tis is the best purchase that I have made so far. As a disabled gamer the wheel makes the driving games so much more easier for me to enjoy. The wheel is also very easy to put together. I will always recommend this to any gamers looking for a wheel.

The first wheel I was sent was defective. It would endlessly try to calibrate at startup. Looked it up and found out it's a somewhat common issue and you have to return or replace the wheel if it happens. Not that big a deal, i returned it and they sent out another one about a week later. Other than that this wheel has been great. This wheel feels great. It has a ton of feedback. It does however feel a little small, and the wheel is plastic whereas the logitech g29 feels more like a real steering wheel. I would probably recommend looking into getting at least an entry level cockpit to go with this if you want to use full force feedback. I found it hard to use this wheel when it was trying to rip my keyboard tray off the hinges at every turn. Of coarse you can always just turn down the feedback to suite your need.

I own 2 of these one for Xbox series s and PS5 I love them both amazing product takes some getting used to for drifting itself bc it don't bounce back quickly but on any other type of driving it is really plug and play you can definitely drift after practice with it. I love this item and 100% recommend it and if you catch it on a deal like I did for both of mine they can be grabbed very cheap

Great starter wheel for people who have no prior racing setup, no complaints whatsoever. Pretty good value for what you get.

I have it for about a year. I use it all The time and use it for Farming sim 25 and it works amazing

Easy to use wheel. Love the haptic feedback, can be dialed up high for a more personal experience, then can be easily adjusted down to let a lil one play it
