Great option for kids starting out with a phone

We purchased this card based upon the recommendation of a friend. I love that it's go the $30 pre-loaded because it's nearly impossible to get everything set up without using a tiny amount of data and getting charged for it. We turned off data access right away, but will still be charged for the tiny bit we used while setting up our phone. Setting everything up was pretty easy. Looking forward to more extensive use of the product.

Cant get much better than TMobile

Runs on TMobile's 4G LTE network, so you should have absolutely no issue with service it since TMobile is considered 1 or 2 in the US depending what data you look at. CS with ting was great also, easy to set up online ect. Do remember that it is TMobile so you will need a GSM phone so if your switching from Verizon or sprint you should make sure your phone is compatible.

Ting GSM runs on T-mobile; this kit offers an easy way to test out the service; reasonably low cost option if you don't need too many minutes / texts, or if you need a temporary number to port out to for other offers. This includes $30 worth of credit; Ting services cost $6 per line with no usage, plus extra amounts depending on actual use.

This is really great getting a sim card for a cheap price at a dollar and the service of Ting is not bad either. This is a awesome deal for a new sign up or a porting people since it gives some pre loaded credit on the sim card which will get you atleast a month or so for free. Please check the package of the sim card where the pre loaded credit will be mentioned.

The speed and latency of the network has been on par with T-Mobile (my previous carrier) in my experience, I haven't yet experienced any kind of "deprioritization", and have only encountered slow speeds in tourist areas that I previously got slow speeds using T-Mobile. Granted, I'm less than two months into my service, but I'm very happy. Unless my speeds drop off (I will update my review if I notice this) or Mint jacks the prices up, I will likely be a happy customer for years to come. Getting a freebie of $60 credit is no small deal. Best buy rocks for getting this at sale price.

I paid just $5 and received $60 in credits. Network is Sprint at home so there’s no great speed on data service but for that price is a great intro offer.

Much better than ordering directly from Ting where the price for the actual SIM card is roughly the same, but you don't get the $30 service credit.

    Absolutely not a good idea.

Ting seems to be a good idea in concept. But will eventually cost more than its competitors. Even if you don't dial a call, it will cost you $6 + tax to keep a line. You accidentally received 1 text message, that will cost you $3 + tax. ( first 100 Text msg ) So, you want to check your voice mail? Just one call will be another $3 + tax. ( first 100 min of calling ) So that's already $12 + tax for doing absolutely NOTHING! You sure you want to check little internet? That will cost you another $3 + tax for first 100mb. ( don't expect to watch a youtube clip ) I would suggest go with MintMobile for $15 a month with unlimited calling / text and 3GB of internet!!!! Even if you use all 3GB, you still get unlimited throttle down connection for free. In conclusion, it will cost you at least $12 + tax a line just to watch so careful on what you are using.

I just got it in the mail nice and quick. Activated through their website. I bought this to use while temporarily visiting the US from another country. It was a seamless process between inserting the sim and getting up and running with phone service. I used this in an iPhone 6S+. But for a $5 sim card coming up with a $30 service credit which can be used towards the monthly service plan. This is really great as they have cheaper plans available in the competition.

The card comes with a $30 credit, the rate for the line is $6 and $3 for each first 100 minutes or text. Data is around $10/ GB. For my first month, I did $6 flat rate + $3 of text (unable to block) + $20 (2GB of data). There's a tax within $1. So 1 free month.

Great for those who use very little of the common functions of a smartphone. You aren't billed for text or calls until you use those things. But my opinion is Mint is a better choice. Their customer service is great.

It was easy to get this SIM card and add a phone to our account. We were glad that Best Buy had the card so we didn’t have to wait for shipping. I have been using Ting almost 2 years and I am very happy with their service!

Very inexpensive and reliable service. Great pricing structure in which you only pay for the service that you actually use. Tech Support is very knowledgeable, courteous, and located here in the U.S. Spam and robo calls have completely disappeared since switching to Ting. I'm super impressed with this company!!

I thought I would give them a try as they are highly rated by Consumer Reports. Its pay for what you use, $6 base and add for minutes and data. Great service and should have done it a long time ago.
