Let just start with the obvious. Titanfall 2 is freakin sweet. With a campaign that actually implements cool platforming and shooting mechanics, to the fast paced giant robot clashing multiplayer this game cements itself among the top of the fps genre. If you never played the first it doesn't matter at all. This "sequel" is technically the first definitive Titanfall experience, offering both story and addictive multiplayer. Do yourself a favor and play this game. Reviewed and played on Xbox One

This game was worth the $20, it was on sale. This is also a Single Player, Mech Warriors at its best. Best Buy has some good sales, beats Amazon on there pricing and Shipping cost.

I played the original Titanfall on Xbox One and enjoyed it. One problem with the original game was that it did not have a single player campaign. Titanfall 2 does, and this is the biggest improvement in the game. Just as the original, Titanfall 2 has excellent graphics, runs smoothly, and the controls work great. It doesn't take too long to get used to fighting on foot as a pilot, or to control your Titan. The single player campaign is a welcome addition and gives the game more life. In fact, a large portion of the achievements are for doing stuff in the campaign. The campaign's story is not particularly interesting but this is a shooter, so that's to be expected. Still, it's fun and can help people get used to the game's mechanics. In my opinion, multiplayer is a slight letdown compared to the original. It's hard to pin down any one reason why I feel this way, but it just seems to lack the same fun factor the original's multiplayer had. It could be the maps, the pace of fighting, the selection of Titans, or most likely a combination of these factors. That is not to say it isn't fun, and won't give many hours of entertainment, it just isn't quite the same for me. Overall Titanfall 2 is a good game and worth the money if you liked the original game, or are looking for a good shooter.

The biggest complaint people had with the original Titanfall was it's lack of a single player component. Titanfall 2 fixes this in a big way. The story is well written and the Titan itself is given a great personality. I'd say one of the best written A.I.s in games. The multiplayer is everything the first offered and then some. More mech types, more customization, more stages. This game far eclipsed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. I returned that game for this one and haven't been disappointed with that decision yet.

I was a huge Titanfall fan when it released on the Xbox One and was very excited to see a sequel. Respawn did not disappoint. The surprising part was the single player portion of the game. While it is short, 5-7 hours depending on difficulty and skill, it is an absolute blast to play. The story is well told and variety in level design was refreshing. Without spoiling there is a level about half way into the game that will blow your socks off. The multiplayer is tight and gives you a lot of choices for both your pilot and Titan. Add to that all the free map and weapon updates and it is a great value also. Highly recommend.

Titanfall 2 is an epic large robot warfare game. Like its predecessor, you pilot a large robot called a Titan through various combat scenarios. Its graphics and control schemes are very much on par or better than the first Titanfall iteration. Where this game excels beyond the first Titanfall is the multiplayer and single-player campaign are no longer one in the same. There is a single player campaign that is offline (more aptly, against CPU controlled characters), and has a fantastic story-line that is easy to follow and exciting to experience. This is a must have game for fans of the FPS genre.

I played the original titanfall and was a fan but found the skill set needed to be competitive was far too high. I enjoyed it but I was never very competitive. I decided to purchase titanfall 2 after being disappointed by the last several call of duty's. Boy am I glad I did. The single player campaign was fun and had some truly original moments of gameplay. I don't want to ruin any of the moments but they were thrilling and took me back to the modern warfare 1 and 2 games. The movement is fluid and approachable but still makes you feel accomplished when you pull off a sweet series of Jumps, shooting and Melee. The story is pretty straightforward but the relationship between you and the Titan developed in a very organic way. The multiplayer is really where this game shines. I would consider myself a casual online gamer and often play just small short amounts of online due to getting frustrated. This game is so well balance that although I may never be one of the top players I still find myself feeling like I'm contributing to the match and not being out done by any particular player. This may be a downside for a highly skilled competitive gamer but everyone that I've talked to that has play this game really enjoyed it. The weapons all feel so different but one does not seem to give any type of real advantage than another. It really comes down to the style of play a particular player. The Titans are a different skill set than as a pilot. Those unfamiliar with the game a pilot is a human player taking on the role of a soldier. The soldiers are able to summon titans which are large vehicle killer robots that have their own unique weapons in skills. Playing as a titan requires a different skill set combat is less frantic and more about strategy and properly utilizing your Titans abilities. I really enjoy this aspect because it reinforces the concept of having to develop a relationship with your Titan The more you play with a particular titan more skilled you'll become with it. Overall I am ecstatic about this game. It has been years since an online shooter has really captured me in the way that titanfall 2 has. I bought both the newest call of duty and Battlefield one. I would say titanfall 2 is by far the best between these games.

    1. They added single player in the game. This was missing from part 1. The story was very well done and overall I was very impressed. I wasnt expecting anything really and was pleasantly surprised. 2. The multiplayer has also been improved. Combat and movement just feels right. All the titans still seem balanced as well. Several modes are also there to keep you busy. Overall a great game. Much improvement made and hopefully the trend continues.

I enjoyed the first Titanfall a lot but didn't like the lack of campaign and felt the graphics and mechanics of the game were a bit "lacking". These are no longer issues. Titanfall is back with a refreshing offering compared to the new COD and others of the like. The game mechanics are extremely solid and fluid. Multiplayer is a great experience as you get several options of pilots and titans to choose from to get exactly the type of fighters you're looking for. It is a very fast paced multiplayer experience which includes wall running, sliding, double jumping and the ability to punch/kick players that make you feel like you're in the matrix. (Extremely satisfying) The single player is a very solid offering that actually kept me wanting to come back which isn't typical for a lot of modern games. I do wish it was a bit longer but I can't complain about it considering the multiplayer offering it has. The one gripe I have is I want more maps for multiplayer already. The good news is Respawn has declared that all DLC for Titanfall 2 will be free. I do hope you all will support this game because I hope to see it alive and well for years to come to fight against the CODs that lack imagination.

For those who played the "campaign" for the original Titanfall, you understand what a joke it was. It was about as minimal an effort I've ever seen in a single-player mode I've ever seen in a game. I get that online multiplayer drives the video game world these days, but single-player campaigns are still important to many gamers, and the makers of Titanfall realized that. The campaign in Titanfall 2 is one of the best I've played for a shooter. The pilot-titan relationship is the focal point of the story as you work together to complete missions. All of the skills and weaponry are utilized throughout and will help in preparing you for multiplayer. The boss battles are a great way to work on your titan skills as well, as there is a bit of a learning curve in using titans effectively. Aside from the titans, multiplayer is nothing revolutionary but it is a bit of a different flavor from your Call of Duty or Battlefield games and far from a mindless run-and-gun experience.

I never played Titanfall 1, but I bought this game because it was on sale and I had some rewards to spend. I'm not an avid gamer, but I set this on Easy Mode and was able to navigate through the campaign pretty smoothly. It was challenging enough at times to keep me moderately frustrated, but easy enough to make it past most challenges after several tries. The story is engaging, and I like that you have a built-in partner (Titan BT) for your campaign. The graphics are very cool, and the gameplay is pretty intuitive. I really enjoyed this game and would recommend to the casual gamer looking for a well-crafted story with good combat, graphics, and sound.

Titanfall 2 takes the original and builds on it in almost every way. The campaign was amazing and had many moments that not only looked cool, but felt great to play. One thing to know about the campaign is that it stands around 6-8 hours. Personally I that was the perfect length, and it didn't overstay its welcome. The multiplayer continues to be engaging with nonstop action and ways to handle situations. With more weapons and titans the tail on this game is much longer than that of the first. When comparing it to the Call of Duty and Battlefield franchise, Titanfall has a sense of movement and freedom that the other series lack. There is cosmetic DLC that you can purchase, but as far as maps go they announced that they will all be free. At the time of this review, 1 DLC map has been released with the 2nd one on the way in the coming month. I highly recommend you try it out.
