    Titans and balanced infantry combat!

Titan fall is a fun high speed shooter. During battles you can scale and run on walls. You can kick your enemies or sneak up behind them and twist their head 180 degrees. There are a decent number of weapons you can choose from for both the pilot and the Titans. There are however only 3 Titans to choose from each with different durability's and speeds. You unlock card called burn cards you can use as one time use items in a game. they will make you spawn with amped up weapons and abilities until you die. Some allow you to reduce the wait time for your titan and some will hack enemy infantry and make them serve you. The Campaign is a bit of a let down though fun to play. You really don't get any attachment to the story and no matter what the Militia faction always wins to advance the plot. So there is no alternate story line if the Corporation soldiers win. I gave it 4 out 5 stars for the simple reason they could have done more with the campaign to make it a bit more interesting, aka alternate endings and mission alternative mission progression. Plus there is only a 12 player limit on a next Gen game.

Got this game for free when I bought my xbox, pretty good game. Different than any other shooter with being able to use the titans however you want, and being able to run on walls. Did get sort of repetitive, especially the voice that CONSTANTLY tells you when your titan is coming. Still pretty fun none the less

I was unsure of purchasing an online-only game as I enjoy playing through the campaign modes and seeing the story unfold. But this game is very well put together. The game play is very fluid and the graphics are stunning (I went back to Call of Duty and couldn't believe how much better Titanfall is). My only gripe is that only 1 player can play at a time on the same machine.

This game is still a solid game but if it had a campaign. They would have knocked it out of the park!

Great Multiplayer game, fresh take on the genre

I have enjoyed multiplayer shooters like Call of Duty but I was beginning to feel like the genre was getting stale. When Titanfall was announced, I first thought it would just be Call of Duty with a gimmick... and I was wrong. This game is fun, well balanced and a blast to play. You always feel like you have a chance, even when you are getting owned. Don't take that the wrong way: if you are good, you will separate yourself and dominate. But, the days of players racking up killstreaks and demolishing lesser players are (thankfully) over. In this game, everyone gets a chance to use a Titan. The better players get them earlier and likely use them to better effect but you always feel like you have a chance to use your most powerful weapons. I was always the guy that capped out at Cargo Drop or War Machine in CoD (5-7 kills in a row), so I never got to use the really cool stuff in multiplayer matches. In this game, its about how you use it, not just getting it. Overall, this is a fantastic multiplayer game. Don't be intimidated. Give it a shot and you will love it.

The idea is awesome and fairly well done. I think the smart pistol should be nerfed a bit. The melee system is kind of flawed in my opinion. If you have infinite sprint, why make the melee lunge so far? Let alone make it one hit? And to the grunts...why are those there? What's wrong with 12v12? Imagine 20 titans at once! Alright...enough with the complaining The pros I really like the parkour idea and maneuvering around the map in a completely different way. It keeps you on your toes and helps the match go faster. The titans feel thought out and balanced. I did come across one person who had the really fast lower armor titan(stryder I think). He was a bit of a challenge to hit. The pilot guns seem alright apart from the smart pistol being my only concern. The maps are cool and I like the sizes Overall I do quite like the game. It's very fun and seems to be running smoothly on my Xbox one. I don't really care it's supposedly in 720. Looks fine to me. If you made it this far, thanks. Hope my humble opinion helps!

Titanfall is a really fun game and it's easy to learn. The only issue I have with this is, it's not a complete game. There really is no campaign in the game even though they say campaign is suppose to be a multiplayer experience. In my opinion campaign mode is suppose to be a co op or single player experience where the user can take their time and learn about what is going on in the world of the game. Respawn made multiplayer with few cutscenes and audio clips just to say it's a campaign. The one thing that ruins the experience is that the story is just background noise. When you get dropped in the game with a bunch of other people you don't really pay attention because everyone is running around going "I have to kill this and that"...but like I said, the game is fun but it shouldn't be the price of a full game.

I skipped this title on launch because i thought it was too overhyped and didnt know what to think about all the mobility and the wall running. Boy was i wrong i should have picked it up sooner when the population was stronger. Has great tight controls and fun gunplay that a lot of newer shooters are trying to implement like advanced warfare and black ops 3. Also has dedicated servers which are buttery smooth .

I bought this game expecting a killer FPS (First Person Shooter) to play online because I've grown a little bored of Call of Duty this year. I absolutely love playing Titanfall. It plays very straightforward, and controlling both your Pilot (Your foot soldier that can basically fly and climb walls) and your Titan (This giant robot that falls from the sky that you climb into and then go to war with) is very simple. You'd think it would be tricky or would take a lot of practice, but really it doesn't. I still never get sick of looking up to the sky and watching my Titan fall (get it?) as a I call my Titan into battle. The campaign, on the other hand, is very weak. There is no single player campaign, so the campaign is played online through a series of deathmatches and whatnot. Honestly, after going through the whole thing, I still have NO IDEA what the story is about. Aside from the story being irrelevant to me, I love the game. Go get it if you like FPS!

Great game but too early to tell longevity

Titanfall is the first "system seller" released for the XBOX One, that also lives up to the hype. An online only experience, Titanfall is an experiment in a multiplayer only -- including the campaign, player involvement. Many reviews have said that this is Call of Duty with robots - it is deeper than that. Elements of CoD are there, but with the edition of the parkour mechanic, it adds a level of speed and power to the game. It is hard to describe, and I recommend you test this for yourself. The game has received criticism of having too many bugs, but it is unfair to judge this game until 30 days after it's release so the developers have time to address what the public is finding, and to patch it in. At $60, is it worth it? I would say yes. It is hard for a game to bring a new feel to a genre over saturated with stale ideas, yet still keeping it fun for the player. The future will tell the longevity of this game through updates, patches, and how the season pass I laid out. I recommend this game highly.

What can I say about this game? It's easily the most anticipated game for my Xbox One this year and it lived up to the hype. The game is intense right out of the gate, the wall running aspect really makes getting around the environment fun and fast paced. But the real reason most of us bought this game were the Titans. These guys are fantastic, they may be the only "kill-streak" in this game but let's face it's better then pretty much and kill-streak you've ever used. The titans are actually very mobile and can move anywhere rather quickly so it doesn't slow down the game. Their weapons are fun and simple to use and really make them a terror to fight against. The game overall is a fun experience, the one thing it lacks at least in my opinion is the lack of a true single player campaign, but that is forgivable now that I have played it for a bit. If you're looking for that first great game on the Xbox One, pick up Titanfall, it's a great experience and will make you fall in love with an FPS again.

After my first few rounds of Titanfall, hearing the “Your titan is now ready” notification began to induce a Pavlovian adrenaline-rush response. I still catch myself looking up to the sky as I press down on the D-pad to call it in, because watching my 20-foot-tall robot exosuit fall onto the battlefield, seemingly from Heaven, is a glorious sight that I still see replaying when I close my eyes at night. It’s a signal that I’m about to transition from the liberating mobility of a jetpack-powered, wall-running soldier (called a pilot) to the ego-swelling walking tank that punches enemy players midair as they try to leap on its back and squashes AI-controlled minions with heavy metal feet. It’s more than a “Call of Duty with mechs” gimmick – Titanfall turns out to be an invigorating multiplayer first-person shooter that melds fresh mechanics with familiar ones, creating a new watercooler moment almost every time I play. I only wish there was more of it, and that it was easier to fight my friends.

This game is great fun. The action is non-stop. Being a pilot is still fun even against a Titan. This game is a must play- although it really may only be worth about $40. The campaign is insulting. It's a few attrition and hard point maps... with voices reading scripts during the countdown to the start of the next match. They sprinkle in a couple of cut-scenes and call it a campaign. The absence of a campaign would've been controversial for sure, but I would've preferred that conspicuous absence to a few voice overs. The thought Respawn put into this universe is apparent by the little blurbs on the loading screens, but the story never makes me feel connected to it or care about it other than, this is where I drive my giant Robot. Still, this is a must play. The creative talent that created Respawn makes it painfully obvious why Activision can't make a Modern Warfare that feels like something more than MW2 with new graphics and different weapon names.

For a guy who doesn’t typically play first person shooter games this is a fantastic game based on what is currently offered within the game. I love the resolution and graphics. The gameplay is smooth and fast paced. This is a great multiplayer experience but it is lacking the offline campaign (single-player). In my opinion a great multiplayer game only is not worth $59.99. It needs a real campaign mode. I like campaigns so that I can get adjusted to the game and learn the maps. Even a online co-op with a friend would be better than trying to beat the game with strangers. I just expect much more from Next Gen games than just great graphics. They tried to put a small storyline into the multiplayer experience, but there's nothing there that is going to leave you feeling satisfied. I hope that they provide a patch because I am more than willing to download another few gigabytes of data for an offline campaign.

I have been playing first person shooters since Counter Strike and have been gaming since Pong, seriously. I have to say this is one of the best multiplayer shooters to come out in quite some time. I know what you are saying, Battlefield 4, but to be honest this is in a different category and has seamlessly introduced first person shooter with the aspect of the Titan mode play. The maps are varied close quarters and distance but don't feel too big because of the introduction of "minions". As with the original team that created the COD series Respawn has hit the mark with keeping you coming back with achievements and a very balanced unlock system that hooks you. I have yet to find that there are exploits for players to boost but that may just be that I haven't seen it. The game is stable and the speed has been great. I don't know what Respawn has for further updates but so far this has been a refreshing change from the COD/Battlefield syndrome.
