I did not realize at first that this game was only multiplayer reached. I was very dissapointed with the fact that there wasnt a single player campaign. The multiplayer however definitely makes up for it. Im not a guy who likes multiplayer much because of games like call of duty. Not to say I dont like all multiplayers just ones where i die 2 seconds after i spawned and i have no clue how that happened. Titanfalls maps are big enough where you dont have to worry about that. That and since theres also AI bots fighting with/ against you it gives the illusion of a giant battle taking place. It also makes it so that people have to think for a second before they start shooting because it may not be a player your shooting. This game is a lot of fun and I hope they release more content soon because right now its limited to 5 multiplayer games which are fun but I'd like to see more come out for this game.

I didn't know much about this game before I bought it. I knew it was hyped up, but that was it. It has quickly become one of my favorite games. It's easy to pick up and feels like a hybrid of Call of Duty and Halo. I was curious about the lack of a single player campaign and the online only mandate, but since starting to play, I understand why and don't miss the offline play other games may offer.

This is a multiplayer only shooter, with the added mechanic that every so often you get to use a giant mech. It's pretty fun but ultimately shallow, unless you really love running around shooting other players all day. The story is sadly pretty lacking. But if you're a COD fanboy, you're sure to love this too.

Bought this for my nephew to play on my new Xbox One. I'm not usually into games where there is all this stuff going all around but watched my nephew play and it looked like a lot of fun, though kinda hard to keep up with all the stuff going on. Overall, he was happy..which made me happy. If you're into the COD, Battlefield, Halo stuff...then this would be right for you.

I had been looking forward to this game ever sice I bought my XBox One at launch. Who could resist the amazing graphics and jumping into a giant mech (Titan) and shooting your enemies. The gamplay is really smooth and I have not experienced problems connecting to the microsoft servers like some people. The only negative is the campain mode. The developer does a good job with what it is but if you like a single player story like i do then you may be disappointed. Also, there is no split screen mode so the only way to play with friends is online. If you have a friend over to show off the game, you will have to take turns playing. That all being said, the online experience is amazing, the gameplay is great, ande graphics are top notch! If you were looking for one game to own for the XBox One then you have foud it! Enjoy and prepare for Titanfall.

Titanfall takes online first person shooters to the next level with the addition of the titan. Being able to play as the pilot and the titan breaks up the monotony of shooters. Also the concept of burncards allows you to choose specific powerups that will give you the advantage by the way you like to play. There is no campaign mode but it is not missed. Great game with lots of DLC.

I wasn't so sure about this game, I heard the multiplayer was the best aspect and the campaign mode was so-so. This pretty much hit the nail on the head when it came to playing the game. The game has outstanding visuals, but lacks depth. Fun for multiplayer though, so I can recommend for that.

A little late to the party here, but this is an amazing online shooter. It has all the elements of top online shooters such as Call of Duty, but adds whole new elements to it with the Titans, and adds a lot more strategy to it as well. It's just a lot of fun, and you can get lost in this game for hours. If you still have jumped on this title, pick it up before the year is out!

Titanfall is a good game at the time of its release. only thing about this game is that you have to be online at all times, there is no singleplayer offline campaign, and sometimes the servers prevent you from actually playing the game when you have the DLC installed. Overall fun but it would be better to play other FPS like Call of Duty and Battlefield.

Titanfall is the first must have next gen exclusive for Xbox One. the graphics are beautiful and the game play is fast paced, refreshing, and dangerously addictive. The maps are well thought out and the different Titan variations are awesome. The game play is well tuned and is fast paced, fun, and very well balanced. I did not get into one match where I felt that players online had an unfair advantage or were gaming the system. The weapons are well matched against one another and even if you are on foot versus a Titan, you have a fighting chance at taking them down. The downfalls to this is that this is a multiplayer game only. You have to play online (up to 12 players maximum). If you like a good single player story / campaign mode, this game isn't for you. If you love great online multiplayer, you this game is for you/

I love this game. It is like Battlefield, call of duty, Halo, and Unreal Tournament all meet in 1000 years and made one super game. It is awesome. If you like any of the above games, you most likely will like this game. It also had amazing Mech battle fights. I cant recall any of the Mech games of the top of my head but this has much better combat than any I have played. If you have an Xbox One or a PC, and you want a new game. I highly recommend this to anyone. It is a blast of fun. Short, mid, Long range combat is all fun. Wall running is done so well that it feels like every other game is just missing something. The maps are all very different and enjoyable. The balance between the power of Titans, and Pilots is perfect. If you don't have an Xbox One yet, you can get a bundle of the Xbox One with Titanfall for free. Or just get it for PC, its just as fun.

Truly fun game. They finally figured out how to take frustration out of the fps multiplayer. Wall running, moving down bots, hunting down enemy pilots, jumping into titan, ejecting out of titan, and everything in between it's just pure fun.

Graphics, campaign options and weapons (including Titans) are comprehensive and keep it interesting. User interface pretty standard for FPS and easy to get used to. Occasionally loading time and local network access is longer, but not terrible.

Titanfall is an infectous shooter that combines the power and destruction of massive bipedal tanks with the quick parkour movements of hyper-agile pilots who can run on walls, sport jump-increasing jetpacks, and spin kick their enemies with the best of them. It's a game that sets out to provide the definitive run n' gun experience and succeeds massively. The way the pilots play meshes nicely with the abilities of their tanks. When you call a tank in, it can defend an area or act as your body guard, or you can hop in and control it directly. A slew of smart ways to interact with your titan, your allies' titans, and your foes' titans are waiting to be discovered and they never disappoint. Whether multiplayer shooters are a genre you generally enjoy or not, there's a lot to love, here, for long-time shooter fans and neophytes, alike.

After leveling up to level 15 with the beta release I've put a solid 5 hours into the final release. The game is great if you're playing with friends. it's incredibly fast paced, edge of your seat multiplayer keeps you coming back for more. The campaign mode is kind of lame it's pretty much regular multiplayer with a 2 minute background story before you go into battle, I still can't even make sense of what's going on in the story in my opinion it doesn't hurt the game but it doesn't really add anything to it either. I was a little surprised to the lack of game modes seeing how this is strictly an online game, this could get boring quickly but we'll see what respawn does maybe they'll release more game modes in the future. Overall I'm having a blast with it, it's a very fun game.

    Titanfall: Revolutionary not evolutionary

Last night I logged out of one of the most enjoyable gaming sessions I've had in as long as I can recall. The game I speak of? Titanfall on the Xbox One. That’s right, I’m sure you’ve heard of it. One can’t help but hearing about it as it’s one of the most hyped up games in the industry in years. But is it the game changer they say it will be for Microsoft? Well, here are my thoughts. I've played first person shooters (FPS) since Castle Wolfenstein, (the predecessor to Doom) which I recall purchasing at a local computer store for 25 cents on a 5 1/4" floppy. I have seen hundreds of games in those 30 some years that are hyped and probably 98% of them fail to match the hype. Titanfall will not match the hype. It will lock onto it, obliterate it and then stomp all over it. Yes it's just that good. I want to set clear though that this constant comparison I hear to Call of Duty and Battlefield, both two very successful FPS in this era, is, quite simply, utter rubbish. I keep hearing that Titanfall is “COD with mechs”. This is absolutely false and in this article I will lay out the reason why it is completely and unequivocally false. The first day I played the game was Tuesday on its release and I immediately took to the Titanfall forums to complain that I was disappointed in it because I was, as is typical for me, unable to survive for more than two seconds as I'm really not that great at FPS. I didn't like the matchmaking system which seemed unfair to me. I didn't like the fact I couldn't have any success at it and was hoping I would be matched with people who were, well kind of terrible at FPS like me, LOL. The irony in that now I see... Titanfall is the first FPS that I think that I have ever played in which anyone, even people not great at aiming and traditionally get slaughtered in games like Call of Duty and Battlefield 4, are going to be able to succeed at. Yes if you're a wonder kid at those other FPS you'll do just fine as well, assuming you play smart. And that's the key, what is best about Titanfall. It's not just a run-aim and gun game like most FPS. It's a thinking man's game. Yes that's right, you read it correctly, if you're smart but not so great on the joystick, like me, you will still find you have a lot of success quite frequently. I'll give you a couple of examples. For starters there's an auto-aim pistol that you can choose when you start the game. You just aim in the general direction of an enemy and after about 2 full seconds it will lock on. Just shoot several times and POW! your enemy is dead! Of course the creators of Titanfall knew to balance the gun so that it's not all powerful as well though. It's weak in close quarters combat and it does take a couple of seconds to lock on. You will find you die quite often waiting for the lock on. But it does have its upside if you're sneaky and can get lock ons for those of you out there who aren't quite a joystick jockey anymore.. Secondly, just about every action has an alternate reaction that you can use to counter it. It's sort of the rock-paper-scissors concept. You're in a Titan with huge guns and missiles? Ok, I'll be a pilot who turns invisible, parkours onto a roof, hits you with a lock on Titan missile and then runs quickly before you knew where it came from and does the same thing again. But woe is me if you do spot me, one shot at me with those big guns and I'm dead... Lastly, the game actually rewards you quite well for defending instead of just mindlessly attacking. My favorite game mode by far is the Hardpoint game mode which gives you three waypoints, A, B and C to capture and defend. It seems that about 90%-95% of FPS gamers only enjoy attacking. Not me, I enjoy defending. Defending is fun! And guess what? I'm pretty good at it I found. I cloak myself invisible, jump up on a wall and crouch there, waiting for someone to come into my waypoint. As soon as they do I drop a frag grenade, if they don't hear it, and they usually don't, then two seconds later they're DEAD...and I get big time points. And all without having to run, aim and gun someone down like I would to get points in COD or other FPS. Like I said, on my first night I was complaining about the game, wasn't enjoying it, finishing last every single time in my group of six. But two days later, because I learned HOW to play differently and I learned how to utilize all the tools and tricks at my disposal, I was finishing 1st or 2nd nearly every time on my team, despite the fact I was level 8 or 9 and all of my teammates were typically much, much higher level! This is why Titanfall is going to be HUGE: it's not just a shooter; it is a strategy game posing as a first person shooter. “Call of Duty with mechs”? Nope, Titanfall is so much more than that. It’s not an evolutionary concept, as that insulting phrase implies, it’s a revolutionary concept that is going to change how people look at FPS but most importantly it’s going to grow the FPS gaming scene into a much larger one that can encompass gamers who don’t spend 10 hours per day playing the game and/or that have the reflexes of a 13 year old on Mountain Dew. Bottom line – is the game fun? Heck yes its fun; it’s fun even when you’re losing! And that’s when you know you’ve found a special game. If you at all like playing FPS then buying this game is a no-brainer. This is especially true if enjoy first person shooters but do not like to play online because you cannot compete too well. Knowing that, in this day and age, innovation can actually occur in a supposedly tired and repetitive genre as the first person shooter is one of the best revelations that this 44 year old gamer has had in a long time.... Can you same game changer? Its name is Titanfall.

Excellent multi-player. Getting to play as a pilot or Titan adds some change in scenario during gameplay. Fast paced and Attrition even gives you easy kills against grunts and spectres. So, if you suck at multiplayer...you can still feel like you accomplish something by killing the stupid AI drones. Campaign is ok. Little bit of background into the world, but winning or losing doesn't seem to matter really for the story. Campaign is just multiplayer with a little added in the way of cutscenes and voiceover. Single player would've been nice in this case. Draw you into the world a little more. Without Master Chief, etc...Halo might not be around now. Good story is how to keep drawing people back also. We'll see how the Titanfall series goes in a year or two I guess.
