4 Tuners make recording very easy. Excellent guide and easy setup. This unit also accepts a cable TV card if you must. 1 GB of storage means you'll never run out of space.

easy set up along with the antenna we purchased elsewhere - we receive hd picture quality - can't wait til the new shows come on - there's a western station which I like .

We had DirecTv since it came out, but after 20 years of paying so much, and with all of the streaming services coming out, it was time to cut the cord but didn't want to lose the DVR function. Found this OTA Tivo and thought I would give it a try. So glad I did!!! Took me a while to get the Antenna set up that worked for me, but now that I did, it is a fabulous replacement at less than 1/12 the cost!

Very easy to use and record over the air programs. Finally a box I can use to record programs without needing to have cable or a box!!

The only reason this did not get 5 stars is that it occasionally just broadcasts static like a 1980's tube TV. If you switch inputs and come back to it it's fine. Other times it just freezes completely and it has to be unplugged and rebooted. That's probably happened 4 times over the last 2 months. Not ideal, but not too terribly bad.

I tried table, hd homerun, Hauppauge tv tuner and tivo. All the other devices reduce bit rate or resolution when they stream out to the rest of the network. Even with superfast network speeds. Tivo receives the OTA uncompressed 1080i signal and using a direct HDMI cable to your TV, 1080 uncompressed 60 frames per second is what you see. My NFL games never look as clear and perfect with any other solution. If you care about the resolution and picture quality, TIVO really is the best solution.

I purchased the TiVo Bolt OTA after I decided to cut the cord. Cable TV prices keep rising, while channels the we used to watch are removed. I made this purchase to keep our data usage down per month, since my wife records several programs that can be recorded OTA. This DVR was easy to setup, and just took some time to apply the updates. I also added YouTube TV to my AppleTV and Roku TV so that we could watch additional channels that are not available OTA. This will save us over $1K per year by cutting the cord!

Getting rid of Satellite TV was the best decision I ever made! Should have done it years ago. Now, with an antenna and my TiVo DVR, I have all the convenience I was used to without the price tag. The TiVo service is $6 a month (if you pay annually), and I added a British TV streaming service for another 6 bucks. The programming is better than the useless channels I used to get with my satellite service! And the DVR allows me to time-shift and record just as I used to before!

Lots of disc space. Easy to access on line to view live tv or recordings. Only down side is a required subscription.

Had a TiVo years ago but went with cable when we last moved. The cable companies keep raising prices every year so we decided to get another TiVo and check what is available. We were surprised that it found so many channels with a simple indoor antenna. The program guide is great and now we can record most of the programs we like off the air. The TiVo remote control is much more intuitive than the one with the cable box plus it’s also nice to be able to see TV when the cable goes down.

This device when working properly is wonderful. Unfortunately, I have had to return several of them because of the fan becoming very noisy. Other than that a wonderful machine.

Combined this little jewel with the Antennas Direct - ClearStream 2MAX Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna. If you have used Directv Satellite before, this unit will seem incredibly intuitive. IMO, the interface is much faster than other DVRs (Sat. or Cable) on the market. Plenty of HD space to record anything your heart desires. We opted for the one-time charge to get the station updates and station guides indefinitely for this unit. The picture quality is unmatched. Highly recommend this product.

Records local channels with no problem. Streams well also.

Was simple to set up. Would be better if Tivo offered an on screen manual instead of just FAQ. Personalizing the settings will take a while.

Been using for a couple months now. Unit works great, records multiple shows at once, and streams perfectly to my tablet which is one of the main reasons I tried this, coupled with the WIFI control to work though walls. The TIVO found more OTA channels than my HDTV with the Clearstream 2 Antenna in the attic. HD looks great off this unit when available. Paid for the lifetime TIVO subscription upfront so no monthly bills, should save around $1000 averaged over the next 3 years. Recommend this to anyone looking to move to OTA as long as they are close enough to receive a good selection of channels, check the HDTV antenna websites.

Replaces an older unit. Love the TiVo interface. Double the storage of the previous unit. Big savings on monthly service. Went with the "all-in" plan this time.

This TiVo was easy to set up, so I'll give it 5 stars for that. I've had TiVo for quite a long time. The trouble was that not one person at Best Buy was able to suggest an antenna that would work with it, even after I explained how my living room is set up. The antenna I bought only worked if I stood in the middle of the room with it in the air. Sadly, I returned the TiVo & will rebuy it once I can find someone that can help me pick out an antenna.

got this for a ota dvr device. but it has so much more built into it. i can watch my amazon prime stuff, my netflix etc etc. works great. the only 'negative' is to get the tv guide ability is you have to pay for a service, but it has various options, i paid for 1 year just to try it out, when that one is up i will by the life time effect which is for the life time of the device.
