Had Tivo years ago, my first DVR. Many similarities to the old model. Lack of Aps such as Sling, Fubu, or any other Aps for a cord cutter to watch live network programming is a huge miss.

The SONY X800M2 Blu Ray player is totally awesome. With 4K resolution in addition to upscaling, the picture quality offers a completely new experience. The audio is also upscaled. The result is nothing short of amazing. Even mp3's provide a high resolution sound. I'm putting all my favorite mp3 tunes on a thumb drive, so I can listen to the upscaled music.

Got this cuz my parents old unit decided that it had had enough of its hard drive. So after looking at some sites and forums, we thought we had some idea what to get. Hubris, the TiVo gods said, you must return two more units as punishment for thinking you knew what the gods required. Some goats, a virgin and some cable cards and something about my immortal soul and still I linger in the purgatory that is the TiVo setup. Pray for us as this Sisyphean struggle has consumed the family and my parents have foresaken thoughts of grandchildren in an offering to angry gods of TiVo

Tivo Bolt streaming device is an excellent for streaming and recording movies.

Was up and running in short order. I bought the all in plan because I did not want to deal with a monthly or annual subscription. Most challenging step was getting the plan set up. The TiVo replaced a dvr I bought from KMart more than 10 years ago. Working fine so far.

We love it. It was not easy to use right away. Lacks instructions to get started, but once you play around with it it is easy to use.

Great product but needs to add sling. Recording works awesome.

I bought this after my old unit crashed and burned. It is awesome, all of the new features. Commercial skip for recorded shows, 4 tuners and tons more. Great new look and all in a smaller unit!

Our days of watching tv are few and far between. When we do get the chance, we want to watch shows that interest us. This Tivo allows us to record our favorite shows so we can watch them when we have the time. It's great!!

Bought this as an upgrade and am very pleased with its performance. The channel guide is more informative and can very easily move from app to app. Good recording capability and easier process for turning off the unit.

Love my Tivo Bolt. I am able to record several different programs at the same time to watch later, even record some complete programs that are already partway through when I decided to record. And I can rewind or fast forward as needed.

Took a while to download the menu and apps. It also too a while for the new apps to work right. Wish they had a PS Vue app. NetFlix and Amazon work well. Bought this to replace Directv and still record over the air. Needs a good signal to work correctly. You will need to make a favorites list because you will not want to see all the channels listed

This DVR is very easy to set up. The guide schedule is very good. The guide's schedule is the reason I went with tivo. It's nice to have Netflix and prime video as some of it's included apps. I like the recording options. In some aspects, it works like my DirecTV did.

Bought for wife to record her shows. I dumped cable but she missed the flexabilty to view her network shows when it was more convienient.

I purchased this to support my digital antenna for my television, and it is perfect for what I want. I can stick with the basics or add apps if I want in the future, and the free things I can watch are things I really like. Good purchase for my needs!

Tivo has a good name.The image quality was simply note there. The image degradation was quite noticeable. I paid a lot for a big high quality TV but this reduced the image detail to a poor viewing experience. Also the interface confused the heck out of me. The grid of local changeless was interrupted with junk I did not want. I never got the hang of navigation. It was really hard to get to the programs I recorded..AND that was the reason to get the thing. Another review suggested that the company had a mixed purpose and I see what they mean. It was almost that they were encouraging you to watch (stream) other stuff trying to make this a swiss army knife out of this box. The result is a convoluted interface that is difficult to follow. Also it seemed to want to take over my LG. Did not play well with Magic Remote. This lead to further confusion and the near impossibility to get straight to local direct OTA channels when not viewing through the TV. This coupled with degraded image takes this out of my Home Theater setup.

Bought the TIVO BOLT OTA in April 2020. The hard drive has gone out in December 2020. Had an old TIVO bolt that was also dead for a different reason. Bought a 2TB WD hard drive and tried to replace my new Bolt hard drive, but would not recognize it. Forums indicated it should. Took the hard drive from the old Bolt and that did work. Called TIVO and they said they would have warranted the item had I not modified it. My beef is how quickly it died in the first place and thought maybe they would have some heart. We did not want to be out of DVR for however many weeks they would need for returning and replacing the unit. I am actively searching other options for OTA programming. I have also read that TIVO seems to be exiting the hardware business. Worked fine until it did not. There is a place called Weaknees that the TIVO service folks even recommended. A replacement drive is almost the same cost as I paid for the entire TIVO BOLT.

Great for recording programs, It's 14.99 per month, The down fall is when you have outside rabbit ears, you can't recorder the whole season on your programs, just a week in advance, When you have the cable Tivo you can record the whole season.

Really easy to set up and start recording Just “cut the cord” and this along with sling is working out great

Was not told when purchasing this DVR that you would have to pay for TiVo service.... I think you need to inform people of this and instructions on use were not real clear!!
