Rainbow 6 Siege was a game I purchased through the word of mouth. It really is a game where teamwork, communication, and patience are required. Microphones are not required, but they would be a definite plus when playing the game. There is a small learning curve to the game, because of how slow-pace it can be compared to BF4 or CoD.
The hit registry and servers can still be iffy at times, but Ubisoft has constantly been trying to fix it.

Great tactical team orientated game

Rainbow six is unlike any first person shooter I have played in the past, playing every call of duty I remind you. This game utilizes more tactics than any other call of duty game. The offline play i wouldn't call a campaign but it is still pretty cool. You receive a situation that you have to complete and even on normal difficulty they are still pretty challenging. I would definitely give this game a shot when you are tired of COD.

Rainbow Six Seige is one of the best games I've ever played. Realistic, strategic, and communication among teammates is essential. Great graphics and accurate when it comes to overall gameplay.
The servers have gotten better but still need some improvement. Also, team killing issues need to be addressed.

Great Tactical Shooter

Overall, this is a great tactical shooter. I came into the game with the intent of mainly playing against the computer in terrorist hunts, but quickly was engaged with the competitive multiplayer. Seeing as how this game is very teamwork focused, though, definitely recommend a purchase of a mic.

Great game... but be warned

Amazing game.. Literally the most hooked I've been to a FPS in a while (probably since Halo 3, 4, Reach, 2) But be warned that the servers are currently in a state of chaos.. lots of people get dropped from the servers.. but regardless this game is amazing and when they do fix it it will be flawless.

This game is brilliant and is unlike any other FPS

I was hesitant about buying this game after watching some videos online and reading other reviews. I finally decided I needed a new multiplayer game and my purchase. This game is unlike any other FPS. It's like one big game of Hide and Seek or Homealon. You don't necessarily create your own class, you unlock operators that have different skills and gear.
My favorite part about the game is that it is very strategic. The defending team can setup traps, barricades, barbed wire, C4, gas, use cameras and so on. Choosing which operator you want to play as will change how you play the entire round. While some operators are better than others they all play very important roles in forifying your base or breaching a reinforced steel wall.
This game is lots of fun. Although I could see it getting old or boring after a few months I plan on playing other games here and there then coming back to play a few rounds as time progress'.

The hardest and most tactical team shooting game I have ever played. A huge learning curve but so satisfying when you get good. And you need to get good to get anywhere in this game

Great Game, Servers need help though

The game itself is one of the best FPS games I have ever played. The concept of having different operators with a unique skill set and weapons enhances the need for good team communication. Having one shot headshots and routine updates to the game to fix any bugs or imbalances certain operators have is great. This game could easily be one of the best FPS games I have ever played except my only complaint is that the UBISOFT servers are really bad. Getting disconnected from games, sometimes the loading phase into the game freezes and match making takes a long time too sometimes. If Ubisoft ever fixed their server issues, easily one of the best games ever. I have put well over 300 hours into this game.

The best tactical multiplayer game available.

Siege is insanely fun and very difficult to stop playing once you've begun. I've been missing Counter Strike ever since I moved from PC to Xbox One, and Siege is the closest thing I've found, and almost more fun to play. The different classes and weapons upgrades make playing for hours enjoyable because unlocking new stuff is always fun! Quick, round-based gameplay is just short enough to avoid becoming tedious while still being long enough to make your actions have consequences. Overall, Siege is my favorite multiplayer game in a very long time.

My boyfriend loves this game!

My boyfriend is addicted to call of duty and any game that reminds him of it so this was a great buy for him. It also seems to be a more strategic and adventurous game. This game has been out for months and he still stays up for hours playing this game. Best to say it was a great investment and I'm glad it's not one of those games that he just has laying around. I've even taken a few stabs at playing the game myself I'm not as good but I can see why he plays it for quite some time lol.

One of The Best Games Ever

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is one of the best games ever. This game is totally different than any Call of Duty games. Me an my friends play this all the time. You will want a quality headset w/ mic for this game. The difference between this game and other COD games(Call Of Duty) is that you only have one life and once you die your dead. I like to call it a Hardcore Search and Destroy. I would recommend getting the gold edition or the season pass. Very nice job Ubisoft. :)

Not your average multiplayer fps

One thing you have to understand is that this game is not for everyone. Don't expect to suit up and start destroying players online one or two hours into the game. Rainbow Six Seige is like playing an instrument - you clumsily fumble around for a few hours, days even, and start to get the hang of it. When you do, its music to your ears.
Get some friends, squad up, and learn the game, you won't regret it.

Excellent Tactical Shooter

I started playing this game during the closed beta on xbox live. The final game is polished and shots register better. The only problem everyone has been facing are server stability issues. Besides server issues which will eventually be fixed by Ubisoft, this is the best team based shooter on xbox. If you prefer something run and gun or a game you can play successfully alone, call of duty or battlefield 4 would be better.

Something Different!

I love this game because it is different from the typical FPS. It not run and gun at hyper speed. You have to work together with your team. I like the slowed down tactical pace of the game. The characters are a nice touch where everyone is different. Everyone is not running around with the same guns as each other. I recommend this game.

What CounterStrike should have been.

The latest in the Rainbow 6 series is great (so far). I've got to admit I've only played a few hours since I bought it, but the gameplay itself is phenomenal. It's everything you wanted CounterStrike to actually be. I'll update the review with more details when I've got a chance to put in more hours.

Only complaint is no split screen locally, but I guess I should have read further into the game. It sucks that my boyfriend and I have to take turns, but we both completely love this game! I would recommend it to anyone, it's really fun and the graphics are great!

I saw people talking about how great game this is so I decided to give it a try and did not regret it. You will need teamwork to defeat the other team and it is fun just friendly advice dont play too much of it a time or you will get burned out on it.

Good, but could use better object proximity

The game is very well animated, with great motion, however, the characters get caught on objects, occasionally resulting in player death. The matches are fun, great to play with friends. Squads can take a while to load and you must snag your desired operator before another player gets it, if that is the one you truly want. Each operator is specialized and can be used for different methods of attack. You can use a click of the right or left thumb sticks to lean around cover without exposing your entire character's body as a target. All is well in this aspect.
However, far too often a character is moving quickly to attempt to get behind cover and get caught between or beside objects and cannot gain cover, resulting in the character being shot by the opposing team. Not good for blood pressure. It happens often enough to be of notice to many players.
