It does not measured in meters it only measure in yards in the pool so you have to convert it over from yards to meters. But besides that it's a great watch.

Overall, I really like this watch. It is lightweight, easy to use, and has a longer battery life than Garmin GPS watches I have had in the past. I am very pleased with this purchase and would purchase another one. The GPS time to acquire signal is about equivalent to the Garmin's I have used, sometimes it's faster than other times. I normally don't download the stats so I can't comment too much on the comparison of the tracking software, I have downloaded it once or twice and it did seem to have a lot of stats.

I purchased for my son starting Xc. The feedback has helped him cut 1:30 off his time. It also removes "dad" from the feedback loop making him Directly responsible Durable

The watch works great & tells me everything I need for a run. But every time I use the gps it kills my battery. My entire run and workout never gets fully tracked. So I recommend fully charging it before every workout.

This was such a horrible buy. I wasn't happy with this product at all. It wouldn't target my HR correctly and the band irritated my skin.

      Hi Berks,

I am sorry to hear that the HRM feature of the TomTom Multi-Sport GPS were not to your liking. Regarding the external HRM strap - the way you wear the strap could influence the performance of the HRM. You can find illustrations and detailed explanation on how to wear the strap to ensure good performance here http://bit.ly/1IJscdn. If, however, the external HRM strap still does not function accordingly I would like to suggest that you contact our Customer Care Department. You can reach us on direct line 866-486-6866 or via the following page http://bit.ly/1KtRj5b. TomTomInc.

Best GPS unit on the market!

I am a competitive triathlete logging 20-30 hours of activity a week, and was a former D1 track athlete. I've been a heavy user of GPS watches for about 6 years and have experienced them all. Starting out with a Garmin Forerunner, I couldn't wait for the Nike+ to come out, and once I saw that TomTom was making their own device (they make Nike's), I knew that it must be a winner. This device is all that the Nike+ wasn't. It communicates with your iPhone via bluetooth, auto-uploads to training sites like Strava when setup, has reasonably, inexpensive replacement bands (unlike any other unit on the market!), and is robust not in just running, but in cycling and swimming as well! And with each new update, the watch improves. They just recently added a "Freestyle" mode for GPS, so it CAN track your Open Water Swims, of which you can simply go back and re-label the activity later. Before, I would just use the "Run" mode to access the GPS, and it tracked my open water swims beautifully. But I think that probably the most redeeming quality of this device is the clean display and software. It borrows heavily from it's Nike relative, but of course has more features so is a bit more robust. TomTom did a great job at making navigation through the menus very intuitive, and they provide plenty of online videos to help you out in a pinch. Get this watch if you at all on the fence, you will not be disappointed.

Do not waste your money - Get Garmin

I am a triathlete and have gone through several watches. A friend of mine suggested this watch and from the outset it appeared like it would do most of what I needed for it to. I have regretted this purchase quite frequently. I did not purchase through Best Buy but I wanted to educate consumers on the shortcomings of this product. I have to update the watch every single time I want to use it, If I update it the night before a run it already needs a new update by the time I wake up to go work out. It will not work without the update. In addition to this frustration of having to update - I am not even able to GET the update oftentimes because the tom tom website is down and will not allow me to update the most current software for my computer in order to update the watch. If the GPS doesn't work on your GPS watch it's pretty much useless. In addition to the updates issues I have determined that the swim distances are always short of what I actually swim. I have used other watches in open water and measured my distances manually in the pool and have determined that it shorts my distances by about 1/3 of what I actually swam. This is really frustrating as well because I think we can all agree that the whole point of shelling out this much cash for a watch is so that we can trust the data it's providing to us. Another thing I don't like about the watch but wouldn't necessarily be a make or break thing for me is the fact that there is no transition timing on this watch and it's several buttons to switch between sports. During a race more often than not I don't hit all the buttons I need to in my haste to get to the next sport and therefore my data is all jacked up. I see that a lot of other people gave this watch a good rating and I'm really glad that someone has been happy with the product but if you are a serious triathlete I do not suggest this watch. Garmin Forerunner is a much better fit and provides accurate data and ease of use. Good luck and happy shopping!

      Hi there,

I'm sorry to read that the MultiSport watch has not meet your expectations. Thank you for the feedback. I'd like to address some if the issues you brought up. I'm sorry that the GPS has been inconsistent, please always ensure that the QuickGPS is up to date (every 3 days). You can check the status of the QuickGPS by clicking the left button from the clock screen, when it is up to date, then it will have a check/ tick mark next to it. If for some reason your watch is not storing the updated QuickGPS fix, I would recommend that you contact the Customer Care Department. They can be reached directly at 866-486-6866 or the following page: http://bit.ly/Jn4Fjv.

We are constantly working to improve the accuracy of the swim stats with every update. In the mean time you can improve the accuracy by following the instructions here: http://bit.ly/ZZOqJj.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the triathlon transition feature. We are constantly trying to improve the watch so we value the feedback we get from our customers; yours will be shared internally to the relevant teams.

I hope some of these tips helps to improve your experience. Thanks! TomTomInc.

Overall it is a good watch for running, etc. I have had it about a month and it has failed on me twice. I hope it continues to be a good tool for my running and doesn't have problems.
