I am a swimmer and this watch has the capability to track laps, and distance. YES it is water proof. I have used it now for two months and have no major issue's. It works well for tracking steps during daily walks and workouts. One minor issue though, would be the watch counts walking steps when I ride my motorcycle. On an average ride to work it will count up to 3000 steps. If you know this in advance, you can just subtract the steps from your daily count. Would be nice if TOTOM would update watch so it would not be so sensitive to vibration and not count.

And the price is insanely affordable! I'm a very happy customer! Will definitely buy the upgrade next.

That watch was discontinued but this one was made on the same basis. The Watch may have been fine however I was not able to get the software to function correctly so I returned it and got a $200 Garmin. The Garman Forerunner 25 is not as stylish however works fine. I like fashion but function wins over fashion every time with me. If Tom Tom can get the software to work correctly I would like to have this watch.

After running my first race - 13.7 miles through mud, sand, water and any other element you can think of - this watch withstood and accurately mapped my run, distance and time. Would highly recommend this product to anyone doing OCR.

The software updates never work - I actually quit using and when recently trying again, the watch would not connect to the software update. When the watch was working, it worked well and has a good feature where you can race against your last run/ride. I did however have a difficult time getting the GPS to connect so always had to use my phone as the backup. Overall, I'd recommend you try another watch after my experience and frustrations.

Thanks for your review, it’s a shame to hear some of the problems you were having.
I can see that the watch was having a hard time finding GPS signal. I think this maybe the result of not being able to successfully complete updates. As it’s exactly the updates which will improve your GPS signal.
I'd like to help you make the best of your device, I believe there are a few things you can try. For example, when you’re connecting the watch, is the computer recognizing it’s connected, or just the software that is not?
If the computer isn’t, try other USB slots, or another computer if possible. But if that’s still not doing the trick you can reach out to us and we can send you another cable to try. Or, if it’s the software not recognizing the watch, have you tried a fresh installation?

I wear it on training runs and in Spartan Races and have never had a problem. Washes off easy and never broken it other than the rubber band.

Love the TomTom Spark GPS Fitness Watch

It doesn’t have all the features of a much more expensive “smart watch” but I knew this when I purchased it. It is easy to set up, the time is easy to see with a large display and the band is comfortable and very secure. The step counter is extremely accurate. I manually counted steps several times (in the 500 to 600 step range) and it exactly matched my step count. Highly recommend it.
