I wanted a smaller unit to install in the top left corner of the windshield. I also wanted a GPS with a speed alarm for my teenage driver and one that would start when he turned the key and stay on. This unit works great. Only one thing I would change...It does not have a compass function...oh well.

But I got the tom tom because I knew cell service would be sketchy in the mountains which I was correct and having the tom Tom constantly connect to give us the route was great!

For the price a good entry level GPS

And it takes a long time to find a signal when you boot it up. Other than those two things, it works fine with a clear speaking voice and standard features for navigation (i.e. avoiding toll roads, shortest time routes) that one might need.

I will never go back to a Magellan ever!!!

This thing Works!

We often get taken down obscure roads that end up as dead ends, especially when using the search option for restaurants. Have always used Garmin, but tried for the slightly lower price. Will probably go back to Garmin when I buy the next model.
