A great 4K transfer of a cinematic classic! Recommend!

Bought this on sale. Looking forward to seeing it in 4K for the first time.

The movie is great It's a clean 4K movie which I really like I could take grain but I prefer it clean like Tom Cruise movies and the sound is phenomenal

This movie looks and sounds great, even though it was recorded such a long time ago. Appears some digital remastering occurred, and if you're watching this on a 4K television, you're guaranteed a sharper watching experience than anyone who went to opening night in the 1980's!! The digital copy is easy to redeem on movies-anywhere, and this copy is well worth it under $15

A million years ago I used to use my Top Gun laser disc, yes laser disc, to demo this cool new thing called surround sound. Now, many years later, I had to have this in 4K and with upgraded audio. Still a great demo disc!

Top Gun 4K disc has a beautiful transfer and the colors and sound are excellent. Tom Cruise, Kelly McGuiness, Val Kilmer and the rest of the cast are top knotch. A wonderful action story with great aerial scenes.

Felt like jets were flying through my room on my 5.1.2 atmos set up (not as loud though cause I’ve had a jet fly over my head a couple times) and i wanted to keep my hearing but the effect was there. HDR is incredible!

This movie stands the test of time and is greatly appreciated especially with the sequel that recently released. Both movies are great additions to physical media and should be in everyone’s collection

The most awesome 80s movie gets a 5-star treatment with great picture, sound and special features. Great double bill with Top Gun: Maverick because of Val Kilmer’s performance.

Got this after I picked up TG Maverick. 5 Buck special. Worth it for the 4K remaster. Big fan of the movie. HDR looks nice. Upgrade from my DVD version. This make VHS, DVD, streaming and 4K.

The picture and sound quality of this 4K movie are equivalent to Maverick & Goose*. The best. *(neither picture nor sound quality die during this movie)

A must have for 4K collectors! The ATMOS sound is really immersive and the video quality still stays true to its original release with updated picture and color quality.

Great overall. Thought it would not live up to the hype and I was wrong.

One of the Hallmark movies are our time. Tom Cruise is good, and just about anything he does with the excitement of the aerial footage. Highly entertaining would recommend it.

Great Tom Cruise movie and great 4K transfer with HDR too! So glad I purchased this movie to go with Top Gun Maverick which I purchased a few months ago from Best Buy too.

I can't believe the reviews I have read about Top Gun being technically inaccurate, not enough character development, an overall simple and childish plot... gimme a freegin' break! This film was made to look cool, sound cool, and define cool. Yeah, okay, the MiG-28s are really F-5 Tigers; I've read the 'goofs' section before. And Tom Cruise's height. And about 'Maverick going supersonic - I'll be there in 30 seconds,' and the laws of physics preventing him from covering 200 or so miles from the carrier in that time. Whatever! So what! If Top Gun had tried to be accurate and true-to-life in every respect, it would have been some oh-so-serious flick like Courage Under Fire. Here's some examples of what I mean: 1 - what's the best way to evade cannon fire? Do a snazzy barrel roll. Problem solved! 2 - the MiG pilots have tinted visors. The good guys don't. Go figure. 2.5 - Russian planes are actually grey or green. The MiG 28s are black. The Tomcats are... yeah, you guessed it... white! Good vs. Evil. 3 - Modern air-to-air combat is usually fought at distances of tens of miles between aircraft. Top Gun uses much cooler spitting-distance WWI era tactics. 4 - "It's too close for missiles. I'm switching to guns!" Enough said. 5 - the generic guy carrying coffee who gets knocked over by the fuming air-control officer. We never see him get up. Classic. 6 - even the edited TV version is a few steps above normal-cool. "... you'll be flying a cargo plane [edit]... out of Hong Kong!" 7 - the way Iceman says, "Mayday, Mav's in trouble. He's in a flat spin, and heading out to sea." 8 - the graceful way Top Gun maintained a PG rating, without using the F-word once. Top Gun came out in 1986. That's 1986. Seventeen years ago. It rocked then... it rocks now. Just watch it and have some fun.
