The tv is a great tv for the bedroom. If you are used to a roku or android tv it will take a minute to navigate the Amazon fire tv.

The 3 Starts are for lack of service by the maker and the seller I am not faulting the TV itself/ The picture is excellent etc BUT I am royally UPSET[ cant write what I wanted to ] at TOSHIBA> The box arrived in good condition. On opening it there were NO papers of any kind to tell how to program it ,how to put the feet on [ who knew there was a L and a R ] how to use the ridiculous remote and nothing to register it for warranty. When I reached out to both TOSHIBA nad Best Buy I was told to go on line find what I need and print it myself

Honestly owning this TV has been a miserable experience. The remote eats batteries alive, I've had this thing for 7 months and gone through 3 sets of batteries. The user interface is laggy and sluggish, the "smarts" of this smart TV are clearly only barely capable of running FireOS. I've had repeated issues with bugs and glitches, and I'm currently dealing with phantom blank notifications spamming the notifications interface, and the app icons failing to show up in the launcher so I have no idea which empty grey square is the streaming service I want to select. If I forget about the "smarts" it's a decent TV for the price class, acceptable picture and pretty good sound for the price, and I'll give it one star for those qualities. So, you could just forget about the TV's awful "smarts" and plug in an external set-top box like a Roku or AppleTV. However, this TV's whole user interface is just so dang INSISTENT that you use the smarts. It doesn't remember what input you last used it with, every time you turn on the TV it reverts to the "smart" user interface, and you have to force it back to the HDMI port, which is not a simple one-button interface on the remote, you have to wade several clicks deep into the smart UI to get out of the smart UI and back to a normal TV input.

A very good TV for the money. We have 3 of them. A 55 in, a 42 in and a 32 in. All 3 an excellent value for the money. All 3 are Toshibas.
