What can I say - it's a magnetic platter, it rotates pretty quickly, and it stores 5TB (4.54TB because of the way manufacturers define TB's and what TB's actually are). I use this in a storage spaces pool that's around 16TB in size. Can't complain!

Have had this in operation for only a few weeks now. Installed in gaming system I built myself as backup drive for devices on home network. Instructions were clear and install a breeze. Took a little digging in Win10 to figure out the drivie initialization procedure but then everything worked well.

No storage drive lasts forever and when my 2 and 3tb external drives hit me with i/o errors, I needed something that would handle my storage needs and cost less than buying two drives. I happened to have an external case for an internal drive which made it a perfect solution to my storage needs.

So far it works just like it should. In the reviews I looked at there were a few bad reviews. I hope those were just a few bad units that got through to the store and not an indicator of fails later on. I figure with as many as they make it would happen eventually.

I saw this Drive on Sale and I bought it. I am able to load all of my Video Files on it! Now my computer runs faster now my C/ Drive is not so full. I was able to move all 700 Video Files into it and I still have 2.3 TB free to add more movies.

Not much to say about a hard drive yet. It hasn't died and it seems to read/write fast. I picked up two of these for a NAS and no complaints yet. The price was actually $25 cheaper at Best Buy than it was on Amazon.

This is the third Toshiba 5TB HDD I have bought for my computer. For the price it cannot be beat. It's quiet and reliable. Please note that it is NOT recommended to use a desktop drive like this for a NAS....

Working fine in the computer. It is louder then then the previous hard drive in the computer. You can hear it clicking away even when you are not working on the computer.

I purchased this harddrive for my media file storage. It's been working very well. No issues in reading or writing any files. It is also very quiet. It was worth the price when it was on sale.

A little louder than i'd like, but so far working great. Installed these in my home nas appliance for movie streaming and PC backups.

Band for the buck, it doesn't get better. I have 5 of these running in a Synology DS1511+ and have had 0 issues. Highly recommended over Western Digital or Seagate equivalents.

5TB right now are a great bargin compared to 6TB drives that would cost you $150+ just for an extra TB. Toshiba is a great HDD manufacture with low fail rates. Pretty fast too! I use it for streaming moves to my Roku via PLEX. I have zero problems streaming High def (1920 X 1080) files that range up to 20GB. This thing can certainly keep up with my processor.

The price per gig is great, good value. The reviews mentioned that they were noisy, and they are. I am using them in my NAS in the other room so this is not an issue for me. So far so good!

I think it should be faster than it is with the cache it has but i am using it on a PS4 game console. It is kinda noisy but then again it is virtually exposed with the adapter i have also.

This hard drive is outstanding for the money. Not only is it fast, it is very, very large. This rocks.

I've only used up 1TB of the 5 so far. The only thing that bothers me is the noise it makes when I download something or transfer data to it.

Choosing a hard drive is just a matter of seeing what has good reviews and getting one. Mine has not failed yet.

The drive works excellent for my need and the space on the drive is very nice as well and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This was my third one. I have a drobo with 5 drives. I now have replaced 3 of my drives with type of drive. So far I am very happy.

I have had a great experience so far with this drive. Good speeds, reliable so far and using at as a mirror.
