I got a good deal on this laptop but set my hopes too high. Upon unboxing the laptop it did look like a quality product. It works fine and seems to run well enough for my daily tasks. The problem i have with it is the screen. It feels like a cheap piece of plastic first off. Second off if I set it on my legs it sometimes gets caught on the laptop itself. I first noticed when i was opening it on my legs a day after buying it and the screen rubbed on the laptop and scratched it. So i went in to check if the floor model was the same and to speak to someone about it. Floor model seemed fine but still the screen seemed awfully close to the laptop. A sales guy comes up to me to see if i need help. I proceed to tell him my experience with the laptop and ask what he suggests. He says... uh yeah i dont know man. Thats why i tell people to buy an acer.

This laptop was for my high school student cousin. It fits the bill perfectly. At this price point, the specs and the built quality are way better than those of many competitors. One thing that bothers me is the slow startup time and sometimes performance given I own a laptop that has SSD.

I needed a laptop to replace my older one that was running slow. The Toshiba laptop is very lightweight and has good battery life. I usually get about 6 hours before plugging in. Great for school work and general use.

Great for the price. Bought it for my nephew for his games. Works well for all his gaming needs.

Well. I don't usually write reviews, but I've had this four and a half years and counting. I'm on the hunt for a new laptop as we speak and I'm going back and forth between waiting for the new 2020 Macbooks or just getting one of the late 2019 ones. As for the review, it's not much of one. This is a discontinued model and it was getting discontinued when I first bought it. I won't lie, it suited my needs, but the battery was absolute garbage all the way through. I basically kept it plugged in at all times. It's pretty much a trash computer. But hey. Maybe I can trade it in?

No complaints about the pc but not thrilled with Windows 8.1. Camera quality not great.

Very responsive, lighted keys a benefit. Very clear and Brite screen. Ample amount of space for storage. Loads quick. Great for everyday use. no DVD drive makes it lighter. Speakers are ok, I put external speakers on it. Better for streaming music or video.

This system is the most recent windows and it's frustrating to navigate. This slows down my desire to play on the computer more. However the computer itself is pretty nice. It's lightweight, which I love and I like the way the keyboards light up in the dark

Bought this on special for under $300 and could not be happier with the performance.

For the minimum amount of work I do on it it's perfect! Right size, fast. Love it

User friendly, perfect size, could not beat the price and package, great value

This computer works well for storing my many pictures, playing low storage games, homework, and surfing the web. The initial set up page keeps you well organized and updated with emails. It has been a great computer for what I've needed. I wouldn't recommend it for high capacity computer gaming.

My last laptop was a Toshiba, they say laptops should work for a couple of years and then should be replaced. My personal laptop has been working for 10 years and still working. We purchased this one for our restaurant and so far so good.

Fast, easy to use. Great computer and very pleased with this purchase.

Not to heavy very durable well put together highly recommended

It's ok, satisfactory -- but I would have thought that with 6 gb ram and windows 8 it would be a better, faster computer over the similar Toshiba model I bought 7 years ago, one that came with Vista and only 4 gb ram.
