    Fantastic Laptop

I absolutely love this laptop. I use this laptop to edit photos with photoshop, create websites with dreamweaver, presentations with the office suite and I can run all of these at the same time with absolutely no issues and excellent battery life. My run time is around 8 hours, even with extensive use. I will say, from time to time I play world of tanks and it destroys my battery, but that's what my pc is for I suppose. Speaking of world of tanks, the game looks fantastic. This obviously isn't a gaming laptop, but to give you an idea of how it performs, it's buttery smooth. I wouldn't play farcry or battlefield on it, but for a work laptop, I am in love. It has a wonderful keyboard that feels marvelous when typing, the keys light up pleasantly and the speakers sound decent (very clear, not very loud). As a 2 in 1, it does the job great. I purchased this for $699 and for that price, nothing could beat it. For the price I bought it in the store, there was literally nothing to compare it to and for that, this laptop gets 5 stars. Oh, there is one negative for me, the track pad is brushed in a horizontal manner and takes a bit to get used to. It feels like.. "cool" and looks good, but I often find that my thumb would get "stuck". Like I said though, you get used to it and learn to apply a certain amount of pressure to it to compensate. Just wish it was glass. Look at the images I upload. I took one of the track pad, on the edge you can see the brushed finished. Only the track pad feels this way.

Getting a 2 in 1 that has all the bells & whistles and also a good work horse and on top of it good looks is an enormous task these days. Luckily there is Toshiba Radius series which takes care of it effortlessly. 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD makes the machine start like a breeze. Windows 10 boot up time is like 3 seconds and there you go. Touch screen quality is good as well. Tablet mode requires a confirmation and making it automatic mostly doesnt help as the mechanism to sense it is not very sensitive but not a big deal as you can manually do it quick. Great Battery Life and very light weight to carry around. my iPAD now is lying in a corner

This toshiba machine has every thing that you need in a modern laptop. Its light weight. Not very small ( 12.5 inch screen) and comes with a latest core i5 processor along with 8GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. On top of it it has a full size HDMI and a Type-C USB port as well. Windows 10 boots in less then 10 seconds and the machine works flawlessly. I have it for 3 months now and it feels as new as first day. Excellent product from Toshiba only if they could add a sleeve to it as well for easy caring as its hard to find a 12.5 inch sleeve.

Great Laptop, but having a major issue

I would rate this a 4.5/5, but will give it a 1/5 unless the login issues get resolved. I will start with my evaluation of the product which warrants a 4.5, then explain why my current rating is 1/5. Great price of $550 at BB and worth every penny. The backlit keyboard is a must. The keys feel really good. You have to press down somewhat hard, but it has the best feel of all the 2 in 1's that I have tried. The Solid State hard drive with Windows 10 loads up within seconds, even after being completely shut down. The 8GB of ram is plenty for web usage and other basic programs. The screen has a nice resolution. I would prefer a 14" or 15". But, the 12" is compact, portable, and perfect for the kids. If I need a bigger screen, I just use the HDMI port to connect to the 22" High Def Dell monitor I bought from BB for $100. This laptop is extremely versatile and a great buy. Now, the frustration. After working awesome for 3 weeks, I received an error message upon login "Can't connect to Group Policy Client". The only way to log on was the administrative local account. The operating system was so corrupt that I couldn't even access the Recovery menu in the System Settings to try to get a restore point. I had to boot in safemode and completely restore to the factory settings. I spent hours reloading programs and re-setting up profiles for the family. Three weeks after the complete restore, the same thing happened. Ugh! Extremely frustrating. I don't know any other brand of computers having problems like this with Windows 10. So, my only conclusion at this time is that something is wrong with the Toshiba product. Unless this issue gets resolved, I will leave my review at a 1 and recommend that you don't buy the product. Very sad, because I really love the computer when it is working.

Pro: Love the sleek look of this laptop and the back-lit keyboard. 5 in 1 mode is the bonus! Con: performance slows down when too many tabs are opened at the same time.

The laptop as a whole is a great laptop. Lightweight, powerful, gorgeous screen and pretty decent battery life. My problem with it though was that when I closed it and put it to sleep, the battery life would still drain like crazy as if it was awake. Before you question me, not much was running when I would close it and yes, closing the lid would put it in sleep mode. In the end, I ended up getting the HP Spectre and haven't looked back.

Best deal for the features verses the cost. I am very happy it came with Windows 10 and not just and upgrade to 10 from windows 8. The touch screen works great.

I love the size and weight, just right to fit in my bag. Performance is above my expectations we loaded all my software on it and it has totally replaced my desktop. Screen size and touch is very nice and comfortable to use . Battery life is long and I am plugging in for recharge about every other day.

So far I am really enjoying the Radius. I feel like it moves quickly and is very user friends. I do feel like the touch pad mouse is a little touch sometimes but it may just be something I have to get used to. I love the tablet to computer options because it makes it easy for me to work on projects for work. It is super lightweight and the power cord is pretty long.

I bought this as a travel laptop, but in reality I use it all the time now, and haven't even opened my bigger 15 inch Dell. It's fast, reliable, but the touch pad does freeze up on occasion. Give it a minute and it catches up. Great screen and functionality. Give it a whirl!

This laptop is the perfect size, and is also quick, boots up in 8 seconds. The screen is sharp, and I've been getting 6-8 hours between charging the battery. Loving it so far!

Great Specs and Idea, Bad Execution

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The laptop has great specs and runs great. Can handle some decent processing heavy programs, and the touch screen works nice. THIS IS WHERE THE POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT THIS LAPTOP END. I have had this less than 2 months and the track-pad works less than 50% of the time and I am forced to use a mouse. The pivot points on where this laptop rotates are sticking and I cannot properly rotate the screen without forcing it firmly and constantly making adjustments. I have attached pictures of the issue I am referring to. This is my work/school computer and I was expecting this to last me for years, but I regret buying this laptop so badly. I have wasted my hard earned dollars on this junk laptop.

I love the computer. It's fast and light and the full radius touchscreen is so great. My only complaint, and the only reason that it didn't get five stars is that the touchpad keeps flaking out. I've already returned one for this problem and Toshiba said it was a hardware failure. If I press the bottom of the computer up under the touchpad, it seems to kick back in, but it's like the touch sensor keeps coming unglued.

    Frame is separating from screen

I purchased this in 2016. At first I loved it. The only bad thing is that 3-4 years later, the frame started to separate from the screen. For the price I paid, it should not have done that. I also have a Toshiba laptop. The frame on that is separating from the keyboard. I have to keep it in the opened position so it doesn't separate further. So I would not purchase this again knowing that the quality is sub par.

This 2 in 1 laptop is a perfect choice to use over your chest while laying down in bed. It's a chesttop!!! It makes a wonderful job replacing a tablet because of the speed of the i5 and the internal storage capacity.

Battery life is great. Screen quality is great and the size is perfect. I'm going off a Sony Vaio so the bar was set high and this laptop hit it. USB 3.0 and Type C ports, HDMI port and Bluetooth. Some bloatware actually is useful and uses minimum resources, which is surprising. I bought a black leather case from Amazon and it fit it well. At $550, I cannot complain. Definitely will buy a Toshiba again.
