Powerline adapters must connect to same circuit

I purchased the TP-LINK TL-PA8030P KIT. The only reason I gave this product 1 star is because the product page missed a significant requirement and none of the reviews I read noted it. I expect it works brilliantly in the correct environment.
No where on the Best Buy web page/specs nor in the reviews I read indicated both adapters must be connected to the same electrical circuit. It very clearly states that on the box "Note: The Powerline Adapters need to be connected to the same electrical circuit." The instructions note the same.
I have a data networking background, so this seems logical, but that very important requirement is not listed on the product page or I could not find it.
Most of the reviews talk about installing one adapter in a basement and the other on the second floor. I wonder if these reviews are actually for this product. It seems I will need a combo WiFi extender and powerline adapter kit.

It's been awhile since I've used power line. Depending on your building wiring (phases) these can work or not.
In my situation with split electrical panels and the extensive wiring they did not work for our particular situation, however we did test in other parts of the building with good results.
When it works (again depends on how your electrical wiring is) it did provide a gigabit connection. The multiple ports (switch) is also nice so you don't have to put a separate switch when you only have a few devices needing a hardwire connection.
Overall a good product and improvement in the power line ecosystem providing gigabit speeds now.

I bought this power line kit for my Smart TV which has wireless internet connection, but it wasn't always dependable. This kit solved the problem with no more than a few minutes of installation. Takes up very little room which is a plus. Now I have high speed connection on demand. Problem solved.

When reading up on power line products, everyone says to go with Netgear. So I did. Then the main signal booster died. So I did some research and seen this product with 3 Gigabit plugs. This is great when you have a separate office near the corner of your house. Plugged this in and synced right up and off I went! No problems here!! It even synced up with my netgear receiver via the WPS button. Highly highly recommend this product!!

I had the most left model that was about two years old and moved slow. This has been a great upgrade and has a spot for multiple connections.

This adapter is huge and must be plugged in the bottom wall socket for any sort of access to the top socket. The passthru power was great for me as my surge protectors have a plug that can only plug into the bottom socket as well. It has worked like a charm and glad I bought this one.

It worked fine on the basement circuit which is the reason I bought. However just for fun I took it to a bedroom on the second floor and the light kept switching between green and red which means "powerline network is in poor condition - we recommend trying another socket". In all fairness the two adapters talking to each other have to go thru the basement sub-panel and the main panel in the garage to get to bedroom on the second floor.

I had an old powerline from another brand that quit on me. Once i got this connected, my receiver and DVD player were once again connected to my WIFI. The instructions tell you that both ends should be on the same circuit. Well, that's not usually practical. I have mine on different circuits and they still work.

I needed an Ethernet port on the opposite side of my house from the router. This works for that. The connection is mostly stable and the speeds are good. I'm running a Vonage adapter and a laptop from the Ethernet ports.

Utilized these in order to connect my WIFI that throughout my house via the current electric circuits. I mainly used this to reduce lag for my PS4 from the WIFI when my house (spouse and kids) are all on devices connected to WIFI at one time. Not at fast as direct hard wire, but very efficient and would recommend buying. We are thinking of adding two more in the near future. Would RECOMMEND.

Purchased to extend network where WIFI connection was low for use with use of gaming. Kids always complained about drops. Using the Power Line pass allowed to created a wired connection to router without running the cable and no longer have an issue with gaming. The pass through is large so very happy that I purchased the one an additional outlet.
