I seen the Kasa plug and thought I would give it to a friend of mine so she can have lights on when she comes home after dark. She loves it!

We always recommend ensuring your router’s Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the smart device’s location. Within the Kasa app there's a feature that allows you to measure Wi-Fi signal strength of your smart devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu. Ideally, the reading should be >-70 dBm.
If the signal is within the ideal range and you’re still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa app is up to date, then update your smart device’s firmware using the steps in our FAQ: http://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-1256.html

Great for home automation

Also nice for things like espresso makers or electric heaters.

Love they have button on the side to turn off and on manually. Timer setting was great. Only negative was if I could tell Google to set timer then it would be great. Just gotta wait for google updates

Has worked like a charm! This christmas I'm . using it for the christmas tree. The fact that the Kasa app allows you to add a Widget on iPhone to turn it on/off is a plus!.

I've had several of another name brand that would not hold their connection to wifi, and they took up both outlets on a wall plate. These unit remain connected even after a power blip. Very satisfied.
