The plugs are used to have “visibility” on certain devices in the home of two senior relatives. It’s a simple way to allow them independence, while providing peace of mind that they don’t inadvertently leave things on. The apps schedule feature even allows me to shutdown their televisions shortly after their usual bedtime.

Very fast response to google assistant commands. Currently using to turn on and off my home theater powered subwoofer that is tucked in a corner behind my tv unit.

This outlet is better, I can use a cheaper bulb in my lamp. The bulb cost the same. You have the app on your phone to turn the outlet on/off. No smart listening device like Alexa or echo needed.

I bought it in a combo deal including Amazon dot speaker. I am not sure I would have bought it at full retail price based on quality and options available online but am happy with the purchase.
