This little guy just works great all the time. Integration with Google or Amazon smart home products is great without any hassle.

I contacted TP-Link tech support. They said to make sure that the firmware is updated. The firmware on mine is updated so that is not the problem. Then they said to try running the plug in the same room as the router. I tried that but it sill kept losing the wifi connection. And to say that the plug needs to be used only in one room is a complete waste for a smart home use. In the end tech support could not solve the problem. Based on other reviews I bought a Belkin Wemo mini smartplug. That works and doesn't lose the wifi connection.

If you're still experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues on your Smart Plug Mini - even after upgrading its firmware - your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi environment may be congested or saturated due to nearby sources of interference, which might be contributing to the symptoms. In such cases, we recommend adjusting your router's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channel settings to a less congested channel, which should help optimize and stabilize the 2.4GHz connection.

It was a little different getting them set up. I had to go through the same step each time. I also programmed one plug to turn on and off at a certain tine. It comes on at the designated time but goes off after 3 hours. Still a great deal overall.
