I bought the Woodridge as an upgrade. I've cooked with it three times and cannot get it to reach the desired temperature. I've called customer service twice, and both times the team dismissed my concerns, stating the grill is performing as expected. I've used a Traeger grill for years, so purchasing the Woodridge and having it not work is very disappointing. When I set the grill to 500 degrees, it only reaches around 310 degrees. I sold my first Traeger to a friend and have been a loyal follower and fan of Traeger ever since. However, I am currently unable to use my Woodridge, and Traeger has taken the position that everything is working. I cannot express how disappointed I am with this situation.

    Takes some getting used to

If you’re like me and transitioning from cooking on a gas grill, be aware that it will take some time to get used to the different style of grilling. Plan accordingly as everything takes longer than you would expect. It takes a good 15-20min to get up to heat and maintaining temperature in the grill is crucial which means more relying on the probe and less eyeballing/turning your meat. I’m not convinced of the accuracy of the temperature gauge on the grill and have been cooking 15-25 degrees higher than recommended to adjust. It’s definitely more expensive to run as well, a $28 bag of pellets will run out faster than a $20 tank of propane but the smell and flavor are worth it. Also, give yourself twice as long to build the thing. Took me nearly four hours on my own but doubt it would have taken less than 2.5 with a partner.

Great smoke. Good times with family. What more could you ask for? Easy to operate
