This movie was made for HD. The whole thing is such a visual powerhouse, it is just a lot of fun to watch. The plot is good, but flawed. The dialog is funny. The acting surprisingly good for it being an action movie. However, the comedy does descend into the realm of juvenile. The script could have been rewritten to be a little more serious, in my opinion. Some of the dialog was bad. Optimus Prime saying "My bad." really made me cringe. I know the original cartoon was kind of silly, but that's no excuse for making this movie overly silly. Still, Transformers is a flawed but fun movie to own.

I saw this movie in the theater twice got it on DVD, and loved it! Watch it every time it is on HBO, Then I went and got it on Blu-Ray, all I can say is WOW! This delivered the movie in a completely different way. On blu-ray this movie is better then when I saw it in the theater. The detail is out of this world. When they transform you can see literally small parts move that you can't pick up on the DVD. Example of quality sound: Every time Optimus Prime blinks I could hear it, where couldn't pick it up on original DVD. GREAT MOVIE! This BLu-ray is more then meets the eye!

This movie is easily one of my Favorite Movies of all time. I've always been a fan of Michael Bay's movies, because he makes movies Fun and Entertaining. He knows the ingredients to make a fun summer movie, that you'll want to go see again and again. I think the Visual Effects in this movie are above and beyond any movie that will come out in the future for years to come. I saw Revenge of The Fallen as well. I love that movie, but to me this one holds a special place in my Movie Library. I love both movies very much, but this one was my favorite.

I was never a Transformers kid. Never played with the toys. Never watched the shows. Nothing. So when the M. Bay movie was advertised I shrugged it off as just another feeble attempt to capitalize on post adolescent nostalgia. Well, it is; but its not feeble. The producers did a wonderful job wrangling together a great cast and crew. The visual effects are particularly stunning and leave a lasting impression - "goodness, that looked real". The dialogue, at times cheesy, was skillfully delivered by a very talented young man named Shia. Whether you are into scifi or action you'll find something in this film to enjoy. Worth owning.

This is a great movie and I knew it would be amazing if it came out on blu-ray and it finally did. It really looks great. I already owned the dvd but this really is a must have on blu-ray. I highly recommend it. The one thing that I was not really happy about was that they really did not add any more special features when compared to the 2 disc dvd version. Yes there is a few things but not a lot. However do not get my wrong the special features on here are great and are some of the best I have seen.

I love this movie, so do my 2 boys (5 & 9). So it's a great family movie. The plot is pretty good. The special fx are 2nd to none. Michael Bay did not disapoint. The audio is great, the sound of they make transforming reminds me of a kid watching the cartoon. Same goes for Optimus Prime's voice... Peter Cullen. Has enough witty humor to tie in with all the action. A lot of modern technologies implemented like eBay & cell phones. Can't wait for the sequal in June!!

When Michael Bay decided the time was right to bring the much loved line of action toys to life for a big-budget fiasco -- he didn't skimp on the price tag. This movie is huge! As big as the robots -- who are the real stars of the film (as it should be) and moves along at a breakneck pace! There's only one way to see this film and that's in it's superior Blu-ray, ultra-dynamic sound presentation! It's fun over and over!

This is my favorite movie of the year thus far. I don't go to movie theaters, so it was worth the wait to watch on blu ray in my home theater. Yes, the Transformers lose some of originality of the first one, but that did not diminish the movies in my eyes like a lot of the bad reviews I read when it came to cinemaplexes. I loved the comedy aspect, but could do without the annoying parents. Megan Fox is smoking on blu ray also.

I had my doubts about Bay's vision of the Transformers, but this movie had me excited for the sequel. Although there is some very odd things said by the robots, like, "I AM MEGATRON!" (seriously, how many people go around saying "I AM JOHN SMITH!") all in all, this movie is awesome. The humans in the film are great and to see the robots in action is fantastic. That said, I'm a huge fan of the extras and if you are too, you'll want to get this Blu Ray. It's got a load more stuff than even the special edition of the DVDs.

Great Action Sequences and Awsome Special Effects make this movie irresistible for some people (like me ) however the acting is not that good and it also does not use the original story from the Series ...... The great Plus here comes from Hearing Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime ...... when Optimus said to megatron .... One shall Stand ...one Shall fall i almost cryied ( In the Animated movie Optimus says the same line in the battle with Megatron where Optimus dies ) ..... overall great movie

this is an amazing movie. great acting from big name actors like Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Tyrese, Bernie Mac, John Turturro. it has great funny scenes along with great battle scenes that contain with awesome special effects. especially on blu-ray, its alomost untouchable when compared to special effects from other movies. I know people of all ages who love this movie

If you grew up watching The Transformers, and you have a Blu-Ray player and an HDTV, stop reading this review and click the buy button. This is the movie you want in the player when you want to show off your Blu-Ray player, your HDTV, and your surround sound. If you're looking for a movie with great performances, a plot that you'll be thinking about for days, then this isn't the movie for you. This is just fun. It's candy for your eyes. Not much else.

After the middling success of The Island, Michael Bay tackled a risk, bringing us Transformers. Based off the toys created by Hasbro, Transformers is a jaw dropping action spectacle, filled with out of this world special effects and amazing sequences of action. The Bluray is loaded with special features, making it a must own.

This is probably the best movie I've seen. The actors are great and I loved the action. Every second there is a fight. But really makes this movie is the songs during the course of the movie. It really makes you want to watch the movie over and over again. I can't wait of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen the sequel. This is a must buy.

This movie is an absolute must have for any Blu-Ray owner. The special effects are just simply breath taking. All those fast motion fights in the theater that you may have had a hard time seeing are now crystal clear. The DVD version definately has some blurriness to it that can only be fixed by buying this movie in Hi-Def.

Great movie with lots of action. Love this one! The voice-over in the beginning of the movie with the original Optimus Prime voice made it quite clear to me that I was going to love this movie, and then it just kept getting better and better. I think they did a great job of putting together the cast also.

The movie itself in great, and the blu-ray really brings the action to life. The only downside is that it is two discs, but the special features on the second disc are definitely worth a look. The sound clarity and the picture are astounding on blu-ray. THIS IS A MUST OWN!!!

loved it. the cgi is truely flawless. the filming is fast paced as any michael bay movie, but who cares its still good. the robots are cool. there are moments comedy (maybe to many). the story isnt as complex as it should be, though. all the chases and fights are well done. the music is cool and fun. i cant wait till revenge of the fallen!!!

This was an amazing movie for Blu-ray! I'm not a big fan of the cartoon, but i was told it was great acting and special effects, so i decided to get it for my PS3 and watch it on my HDTV and it was worth it. I just like it when we have company over like kids, they love it.

The movie is good because it casts the typical transformer characters in a 21 century backdrop. The transformations feel real, and we can't tell we are watching CG. The only downside is that we are missing out on much of the original cartoon, which was the best, plot. Still very good and worth owning. IF you like transformers.
