The trend disc was bundled with the desktop. When the trial subscription was running out,i loaded the trend disc. I immediately got spam,a virus and so many add on BS products trying to load to my computer that i had to shut down my desktop! I wish i had just thrown the disc away to start with!

Posted .Hi techman. Wow! Not the best way to start a relationship with your new Trend Micro subscription. I can promise you that they disc you loaded was free of any spam or viruses. The program on the disc is 100% exactly like the trial subscription that was installed on your new desktop (though it might have included a new serial number). If you're not a fan of using the disc, you can always download the EXE file from our Geek Squad page.
Seeing as your have access to Trend Micro's Internet Security product, it's possible that you saw options to install some of our other tools, like the password manager or the mobile security app for your smartphone and tablet. People can access the Internet is so many ways these days and we are doing our best to make sure they (and their information) are safe no matter what they use to go online. I'm sorry if those messages rubbed the wrong way. Every person is different and all we can so is our best to see that everyone stays safe out there.

Didn't the salesman know this? Free programs are nice, but it would be nicer to get the right ones for my purchase. I guess this rating is more a reflection of that disappointment than the program itself.

Posted .Trend Micro Internet Security is compatible with all of the current Microsoft Windows operating systems, going back to XP + Service pack 3, which was released in 2008. Depending on which versions of Windows you have, we can probably help you get it installed.

Our computer had over 70 malwares and other problems and we thought we had some security thru HP products. This Trend Micro security system that Best Buy has installed now on our computers checks for problems and scans without constant updates and notifications, It seems to be all that was promised.
