When I started noticing my computer slowing down and displaying far too many pop-ups on the internet and desktop, I had Trend Micro do a full computer scan. It did not find anything wrong, however. Eventually, I uninstalled it and installed AVG (which is a free security software). After AVG did a computer scan, it found 57 threats, many of which were classified as "moderate" or "dangerous" threat level. AVG was successful in removing all of them and my laptop has been fast and pop-up free ever since. Considering AVG is free and Trend Micro is not, I would say try AVG first, since it actually works.

It appears to be a trial version or a subscription version. This is the paid version and i think it is good for one year.

There is nothing special about it. It takes a lot of CPU and decent memory to scan.An open source software will do the same easily.

Trend Micro Internet Security works on most versions of Windows, including XP and Vista. You will just want to make sure that you have Service Pack 2 installed.

It sounds like you purchased Trend Micro Internet Security with a new computer but did not receive a disk. If that's the case, you can download the program from the Geek Squad page, go.trendmicro.com/geeksquad. Hope that helps you out!

I was in an online class and my computer kept crashing or having the blue screen that said Windows needs to restart for some numbered error. I had to get Geek Squad help multiple times to clean up my computer. Finally, I figured out it was this software! It didn't protect my computer and many issues came up. I removed the Trend Micro and bought Norton Security and haven't had a problem since.

Likewise, we designed our PC Tune-Up to be easy to use, identifying programs that start when the computer boots up and turning off that auto-start capability. It's possible that your computer already has those programs turned off. There are a few more things that we can do to help your start time. Soon I started getting uncontrolled Pop Ups on the screen to the point I ccould not use it. I had Norton 360 Premium with 3 uses. I uninstalled the Trend Micro and installed my Norton. It found 7 Trojan horses on the conmputer. Of course since this was a store demo someone in the store could have installed the virus, but Trend Micro did not detect it. I guess you get what you pay for. This was bundled with my new computer.

It's also likely that Trend Micro Internet Security was able to detect and contain the infections but was not able to remove them without some of our more heavy-duty tools. It can help you easily manage your cellular, Wi-Fi, and roaming data usage, it will help you find your iPhone in case it ever gets lost, and includes filtering tools to keep kids from getting into things they should when using your phone. It's a great asset to have to keep your device running smoothly, and safely.
