I find it extremely irritating that Best Buy keeps trying to force it on me. Repeated emails to install it. No way of telling you I DON'T WANT IT! Was disturbed that this software was advertised as needed on the computer for basic security as if there were no security software on the computer.

Turn on Windows Defender and Forget About It

It's 2022, turn on and configure Windows Defender and stop thinking about malware and viruses. This just clutters up your machine and slows things down.

For most people it's useless bundleware that slows down your computer while providing very little real-world value.

Every time I tried to activate the free 3 months, all I could get was pay $4.99 for a month or $19.99 for a year and I would get 2 weeks free. What happened to the 3 months free trial??? It still isn't activated, so I got nothing.

If using a modern Windows computer, Windows Defender doe a decent job. The best AV tool is a. cautious user who doesn't operate in the Admin account and does backups.
