Virus program

Had to remove my virus and malware that had over 6 months subscription left before this one would work. Allegedly this program will replace everything. Once I finally got it installed it seems to be a good one Not happy I had to eat the subscription cost balance for the others.

Doesnt interfere with slowing computer like some brands do. Havent had any issues with my laptop while using this product.

My brand-new Windows PC seemed to never settle down - fan always running high, always hot, always busy. After a few weeks, I got tired of this, and started looking for the reason - Windows 10 can't be THAT bad ! And I found the reason in the task list. This software is constantly doing something, 24 hours a day. Why? That is not how antivirus is supposed to work. After the initial securing of the machine, it should become invisible, not suck up a steady 20% of the CPU. I uninstalled Trend Micro, and immediately the machine settled down. I installed another anti-virus, and the machine remains normal. Worse, I installed Trend Micro on a fairly new Mac Mini, and it brought it to its knees - overheating, and finally freezing. I uninstalled it there, and the Mini went back to normal. I came to the conclusion that this software clobbers your PC, and removed it from another Mac just on principle. If the salesman offers you this software cheap with a new machine, just say no. I don't care about settings or anything else. Any software that is this bad right out of the box - I do not want. Period.

After failing to be able to install it himself, he took it to Best buy Geek Squad. Found out it can not be installed on the laptop because it has win 10s. False advertisement?

Posted .Trend Micro Internet Security runs on Windows 7, 8, and 10. This includes Windows 10S, which is a slightly different operating system. Ask your grandson to visit the download site that Best Buy provided and look for the download link called, "Trend Micro Security for Windows 10 in S Mode." If he continues to have trouble with his new laptop, please encourage him to give us a call, larcnt.
