I'm just a causal gamer, but these headsets are amazing! I bought the PlayStation Gold Headset's two years ago, and I thought those that was a decent headset for beginners. If you want quality and supreme sound, get these bad boys! Best money I've invested to my PS4!!

So let me preface this by saying I don't have a lot of experience with many types of gaming headsets. Saying that, I love these headphones. They were the second pair I got for the ps4, which I got from returning my first pair which were the playstation golds. The playstation golds I found to be very weighty and uncomfortable with my glasses. I was also not very fond of the ear padding on the golds as my ears would sweat easily after 20 mins which isn't usually a problem for me. These TB Stealth 500s are definitely better on all of those issues I had with the golds. The sound quality is about the same to me though I might give these 500s a little better rating for that. I also favor the 500s surround sound over the golds VSS. Comfort wise, they feel good and not a problem playing 2, 3, 4+ hr sessions whereas the golds weight around the ears made me want to stop after an hr or 2. The padding for the ears I believe are the same basic material as the golds but these have mesh like holes in them which definitely make my ears sweat less if at all. I wish they were Bluetooth capable but oh well. I did notice some slight buzzing audio-wise that I had seen a few others comment about but this seemed to last for only a day or so and felt like the headset just needed to work itself out. As much as I like these for gaming, I love them even more for movies. They are great for movies and fps games. I read some complaints about the surround sound in these headphones making non fps games sound worse or what not but I haven't found that to be the case. I'm not sure if I'm just running a different set up or just less temperamental about such things. I consider myself an audiophile but not an expert either but I'm very pleased with this headset. My only complaint and which the golds have over this, Imo, is that you don't have the possibility for developers to make specific profiles for their games like can be done with the golds. The presets have been enough for me but I haven't seen enough to make me feel as though the golds didn't run away in this area. However one thing I did not like on the golds and love about these 500s is that the golds have only one dial to control the chat audio and game audio volume whereas these 500s have 1 for each. Now it may seem less important and more logical that if you want to hear chat audio more, you'd turn game audio down or vice versa and maybe that's true to a point. But I like having the ability to adjust each how I see them and not be limited as one is with the golds. All in all, I would certainly recommend these.

Finally a headset that sound as good as they look!! Love the look of this headset! They are comfortable on the head but can start to hurt your ears as for my the push my ears in just a little. Other then that they feel great and the sound is amazing!! 7.1 (5.1 for PS4 games) sounds amazing!! The are very loud!!! The bass is really good and no distortion. The battery last for ever!! 15 hours is what it should last! I don't know if they last that long but I've gone days without having to charge them while gaming in multi hour sessions. I liked them so much I bought them for my son too and referred them to friends that bought them.

For the price, the 500P Stealth is an amazing headset for gaming. Pros: I haven't used it on PS3, but the PS4 setup is really simple. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The sound quality is good for the price of the headset. It is often on sale for the same price as the 400P Stealth headset, so getting this one is a no-brainer. The surround sound is nice and there are a few settings that can be played around with, toggled by a button on the right side. I thought the vinyl might stick to my skin a bit as leather-like products tend to after a while, but it doesn't stick at all. The headset is comfortable on the head and doesn't feel too heavy. The mic quality is good according to my brother, and can be adjusted using the PS4's settings. The chat and game volume are controlled independently on the headset. The battery life is pretty amazing, and I'm sure it's actually lasted longer than the advertised 15 hours. It also uses a micro usb port, so any phone charger can be used to charge it, which is convenient. There are more pros but it's a lot to write. Cons: After a while it can press my glasses into my ears which can ache a little after a long gaming session (several hours of use). Not sure if people who don't wear glasses would have this problem. I believe you're supposed to be able to hear your own voice from the headset, but it doesn't seem to work on mine, though it did the first time I used it. I must have hit some setting that turned it off, but I haven't looked into it. I have been told that the mic sometimes picks up my ceiling fan and can cause an intermittent buzzing noise. Finally, from what I can tell you can't turn off the flashing blue lights while it's on and in use. It can be annoying if you're using them in the dark. Overall, if you can catch it on sale for $100 (which happens often), get it over the 400P or the Sony Gold headset.

Fantastic headset and sound. I really love how you can boost certain aspects such as bass/vocal. The battery is long-lasting. Headset is very comfortable to wear; not too bulky or heavy. I like how the mic is detachable. The only downside is there is no pop mic.

I have had these headsets for over a month now specifically for Call of Duty Black ops 3. And can't say nothing but the best things about the sound quality the bass and great feel they have. I noticed some people have written some negative reviews because of them breaking on them. So my recommendation is to get the protection plan it's only $15 and it covers you for two years so if anything goes wrong they will replace it for you if they cannot fix them. Obviously if it breaks bestbuy will just give you brand-new headset and to me made me feel secure with my purchase. By far the best turtle beach wireless headsets for the price. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for wireless good quality headsets for gaming on your ps4. 2 thumbs up!!!

So far I have had no issues with this headset. I like the preset audio boosts because I really just want to play the games and not worry about fine tuning the headset. It has really good sound and I like that the mic is replaceable. Being wireless is a plus. I owned the px24 and would have to worry about the wires but the amp on the px24 was awesome. The reason I returned it is because the charging port on the amp on the px24 got messed up really easily. Hopefully it doesn't happen on this headset. Overall sounds really good and the headset is comfortable..

This is my second pair of Turtlebeach headphones and these are by far the best. They sound great and the fact that they are completely wireless is amazing and the main reason I chose these. The battery life is very good, you can play for hours (8+) before needing to charge. I would have given them 5 stars but they could be a little more comfortable. The controls on them are pretty nice and easy to use as well.

Great set for gaming! Wireless! Can adjust volumes for team mates audio and in game audio using the multiple controls on the set to find your own perfect balance. Also has built in presets for bass boost and treble boost which is really awesome not just for gaming but when connected to portable handhelds too! sync to your cell and take a game like osmos to the edge! Music is incredibly clear and controlled, you will be happy with this choice, I was hesitant at first but a great investment.

I have bought turtlebeach headphones before and loved them just as much as these. Awesome sound, battery life is good, completely wireless. They work great because I use them at night when my family is sleeping and I get all audio directly to the headphones. The only negative for me is comfort because I have larger ears, they start to get uncomfortable after 3-4 hrs.

The turtle beach stealth 500p is a great headset! I compared them to the sony gold and I liked the turtle beach much better. The sorround and overall sound quality are superior in this headset. The available adjustments are also better because they allow you to adjust game audio and chat audio with separate knobs. Battery life is also substantially longer and I found them to be more comfortable. Definitely recommended for the price!

Having read the reviews prior to purchasing, I was very concerned about the construction quality and dealing with the possibly brittle head band extenders. They don't appear to be as rugged as they could be but only time will tell if that ends up being an issue. My hope is that if there is one, that Turtle Beach has a decent return/replacement policy. As for the function, I primarily purchased these for use with COD on the PS4. Headphones may not make me a better player but for and older player, they have clearly made a difference as long as I pay attention. I'm not sure what the comparison would be with stereo headphones rather than surround sound but so far, I am quite pleased with the results of surround sound and being able to detect the location of footsteps and sounds that are around me. I have a larger head but so far, I've played for hours at a time with them with no comfort issues at all. The earcups swivel well and fit comfortably and there is not problem with the head band. Removable mic is a nice bonus since I don't generally use it but it's there if I want it. At half the price of the top tier headphones recommended by serious gamers, this is still an investment but a much more middle of the road choice for casual gamers like myself. I feel like this has made my game much more enjoyable without having to invest nearly as much as my game system costs. Construction will probably always be a concern and if I was making my living playing games, I might have invested more but for what I paid, I'm very pleased with this choice so far.

I love these Headphones. This is a Great improvement over any other headsets I've used for the PlayStation four. I love how they make the sounds from my games ( Starwars Battlefront and Far Cry 4) seem to encompass the entire room. They also work great as music headphones too. I compared them to my Beats and my Wife's Boses headphones. I would say the Turtle Beach Stealth 500P were actually better especially with sound details and clarity in both music and games. Oh course Beats bass is deeper but not as clear. My only two complaints are, there is no Bluetooth and plugging the transmitter USB dongle. The transmitter dongle can not work without also plugging in the optical cable to the PS4. Transmitter USB dongle works fine in my PC without the extra cable. This is a small gripe. Turtle Beach does supply optical sound cables as well as a 3.5mm cable and a micro USB cable. The sound is so great, these two complaints are very minor. 500P's are also great when playing World of Warcraft and using its microphone to do in game chat. I have asked other players how does my microphone sound on their end? They all say very clear with no distortion. Would I recommend Turtle Beach Stealth 500p? The answer is definitely yes.

For the price this headset is great. Its wireless, sounds quality is good and battery life last about 18 hours. This all truly depends how many breaks you take. I enjoy the ablity to turn on and off the mic from the headset. Other great features include the ablity to adjust sound from in game and sound from chat. The mic is also removable incase you don't want to use the mic. The Headset tells you when it's on by lights in each ear peice and a audible message inside the headset. I don't like the feedback from the headset when it is plugged into a power source. This only seems to be an issue while attach through the audio input jack. While connected through the Bluetooth I have no yet had this problem. I have also used this headset to connect to my phone. Unfortunately you have to use the input jack to use with your cell phone. Works great if you're waiting for a phone call and you want to play your game at the same time. One major problem is that the plastic arms that connect each ear piece are weak. If you're not careful they break easily. I have found that closing up the headset will keep it from being snapped in half. Regardless of these issues I found that it's a great headset for the price.

I am an avid gamer and this is my 5th headset (x4, x41, razer chimera, xp 400) .) This by far is the most comfortable headset yet and the sound is amazing (especially for the price). All of my headsets were 5.1 dolby digital and this is the first dts I bought. If you're thinking of buying a headset for the first time (or if you want to try something new and inexpensive ) I highly recommend this product.

I absolutely love these headphones! I had purchased the px4 and was not satisfied. They were simply outdated compared to current turtle beach models. Now I have read a lot of mixed reviews about the 500p and all I can say is try them for yourself. I play a lot of Destiny with them and they are as clear as you would expect them to be. You can hear which direction footsteps are coming from in pvp matches. The preset eq settings are ok. Make sure you try them all out for whatever you're doing, example I would play destiny with the music mode, or watch movies in stereo mode. That is another feature I like, being able to use these with anything that uses a 3.5mm jack! Wireless with other media devices would have been better but at least the mic is removable. So that brings me to the mic, everyone I asked said I sounded clear. Being able to control the chat volume off your headset is great. The mic monitoring however was not so good. You need to have the mic literally on your mouth to able to hear yourself. For me not a big deal but might be for others. To summarize the rest up, ear cushions are comfortable, headband has enough cushion, 15hrs of battery sounds accurate as I never timed my usage sessions, and finally the wireless distance allowed me to got to the bathroom without interference ( when you got to go, you got to go!). So for the price I don't think any headphones can touch the quality or features that Turtle Beach can provide.

Headphones have good range with deep bass. The separate chat and game volume is nice. There is an audible buzzing when there is no sound being played but is hard to notice during gameplay. The mic seems to do a good job, no complaints from the other end. They do get uncomfortable after wearing for an extended amount of time.

If you want quality sound at a reasonable price for your PS3/4 gaming experience, I strongly recommend getting a set of the Turtle Beech Stealth 500P. These headphones have great all around surround sound, and they feel very comfortable wearing them. Plus, you don't have to worry about damaging a cord since they're wireless with battery life lasting several hours strong.

These are fantastic! The sound quality out of these is about the same as the Astro A50s, and at nearly a third of the price and with a lot less equipment! The setup is simple and well laid out in the manual, and the transmitter is just a small USB dongle and an optical to Toslink cable. The downside is that there are no rear USB ports on the PS4, so you're forced to leave the USB transmitter in one of the ports on the front while the Toslink cable loops around the unit to the rear optical port. and it takes away from the aesthetics of the unit. However, it's not the manufacturer's fault, it's Sony's for thinking we only need front panel USB ports. At first I purchased them just so I could use my PS4 without waking anybody up at night, but now I can't play anything without them! I can actually tell which direction enemies and animals are in Far Cry 4, which makes it that much easier to find them. The headband does feel a bit cheap since it's plastic, but I don't feel like these are going to break any time soon. I also have a big head, and they fit pretty well, they aren't overly snug or heavy and they're more than comfortable enough for a long gaming session. They are definitely worth the price, and I highly recommend them.
