    Great sound, but quiet

I tried both these and the 420x stealth. These definitely have better and more crisp sound than the 420x. The surround sound was more noticeable than just stereo. However, they are much quieter on the loudest setting than the 420x. I had to to the software upgrade which means connecting the transmitter and the headphones to the computer. That helped with sound when in game mode, but the volume was relatively weak when connected to an audio device like an ipad. I got these so I could use them when I go on flights and such as well, but I really worry that the volume will not be loud enough to drown out other noises around me. Also, the volume is not adjustable with the wheel when connected to an auxiliary device meaning if you share a headset jack with a partner while on a flight, you will have to deal with whatever volume the auxiliary device is at. For gaming this is a great headset with enough volume, but for other uses, it may be too weak volume wise.

I really like this headset, it is surprisingly comfortable(not great but definitely not bad like many others). Awesome presets, great sound, and many options. Oh and COMPLETELY WIRELESS. I just wish everything felt like it was nice and looked more stylish.

These headphones are exactly what I though they'd be. Great sound, comfortable, and completely wireless. I was uncertain about purchasing these based on some other reviews I had read, but after trying them for myself I am completely satisfied given their price.

All though the control buttons are a little hard to get used to and adjust while wearing the headset, the sound is awesome. They are capable of delivering full spectrum front, rear, and left/right acoustics. You really hear things that just can not be heard through a 5.1 surround system, little noises indicating loot and enemies is fantastic, your position within the game is made very clear by the surround effects, you're ability to defer distance from enemies by voice and chatter is great. Buy these and you will know why I rated them as fantastic, the price is good and the headset is great!

The Best Choice For 100% Wireless

I had the TB 800x and the chat was like talking in a can. I had these before as this is my second pair. The others broke on the plastic band (common problem it seems) so I tried the 800's, but came back to these. Great sound and chat. Comfortable for long sessions of gaming and overall, I am happy with them. Do buy the warranty for $27 though! Cannot stress this enough! Things WILL break or go bad and if they do in 2 years, you get any new headset you want for the same money or to apply that to more expensive ones or Best buy gift card for the amount paid. Well worth it. Try them and see what you think...

Pros: they fit comfortably on your head. Block most back ground sound out. separate volumes for chat and game play. Cons: Battery life could last longer. The volume can be a little bit louder

These headphones were probably more than I ever needed, but they do sound great. I didnt want to have a cord plugged into the controller, and opted for pure wireless. I am glad I did! There are so many sound settings for these headphones. They are completely updatable when hooked to computer. There is a list of games that you can setup for optimum sound quality. I mainly play destiny and the sound is so good, sometimes I have to look behind me because of sounds from the game it sounds like someone is behind me.

They have the sound of a real surround sound. They are comfortable when worn and convenient when traveling with the swivel headset ear pieces. The battery life is impressive to last a long time before recharging.

I recently upgrade to this headset after I got tired of tripping or getting caught on my old headset's wires. Wasn't sure how this was going to work since it does not use the headset adapter like the other "wireless" headsets do, but I am so thankful now that I got it. I can put down the controller and walk away from the TV and still chat and here what is going on. The volume on the game side though was not as loud as I'm use to on my older Turtle Beaches, but after playing for awhile, I realized that I play with the volume way to loud and it was just fine. I don't really use all the surround sound presets at all. Can't complain about anything really. I know the price is high, but it is well worth it.

In my opinion you can't beat the quality for the price and convenience. I waited for a sale and used my best buy rewards points to purchase this headset and it was well worth the wait. Despite a few reviews regarding the the comfort of the Stealth Headset, I found them to be more comfortable to wear than my previous headsets and it is so great to not have wires connected to my controller. The separate volume controls for game and chat are fantastic and the sound quality is good.

These headsets are excellent for the serious gamer. The sound is superior once their dialed in from the preset modes you get from the turtle beach website. There is an update out the box which is important from the website also. It will take a little time if you have an older PC like I have. I've had them for 4 weeks and I have to say, they sound better with time or maybe it's just because I have the perfect setting for Cod AW. Now their not very loud which isn't necessary a bad thing, you can have them on the highest volume and they remain crystal clear. The surround sound is very helpful in AW you can pen point where shots are coming from and footsteps also. They are very comfortable and no wires to the controller or console which is very rewarding experience. They are a little pricey but like I said from the beginning their for the serious gamer. If I can get 3 to 5 years out of them i'm happy, don't get me wrong l would love more, but with my experience so far I feel like I already got my moneys worth.

I bought this so I could play Xbox One in the same room with someone else watching tv on another tv, and it has been great. I can hear details in the games I didn't even know were there before. I recommend going online to update your headphones and choosing the custom sound settings for your particular game. A lot of popular games are already set up for you. They charge through a usb cord, and a charge lasts several hours. I haven't pushed all the way to no charge, but I've played all afternoon and evening with no problems.

These puppies are sweet! Best part completely wireless. So on the head and done. Second 7.1 surround. You can hear where gunshots are coming from, footsteps, and misc noises that you don't hear from TV speakers. Also long battery, easily three play session use. Only improvements that could be done is noise canceling and Bluetooth, that are in the 300 pair for the PS4, but you can still connect your mobile device with the 2.5mm--3.5mm cord included. Overall very satisfied, only wish I got Geek Squad Protection, a little worried something might happen to it.

This headset is excellent. The surround sound works perfectly and the volume can be set high or low enough for anyone. It is very comfortable and the only cords for using the stealth 500x's with an xbox one are a USB and another small cord that both plug into the xbox and the receiver for the headset. Overall this headset is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to pay for a headset around the price.

After day one I like the headset a lot. Great weight and comfort, outside noise isolation is fantastic. The surround modes are a nice plus and definitely can hear the differentiation between them all. The wireless capability is great, no more carrying my controller around with me or taking off the headset when I need to get up. However they are not Bluetooth so you must use the receiver that connects to the Xbox or the included mobile cable. The 7.1 surround sound itself isn't as dynamic as I was hoping for the price point.

I have been using these headphones for about two months now and love them. Moved to these from the X1 that retired when we got the XB1. They are a significant improvement is both build and sound quality. Setup was easy, plug in and go. Always remember to power on the headset before turning on your XB1 or you may have sync issues! First time use was troublesome as I powered on the XB1 prior to the headset and they did not sync. Was quite the performance to get them in sync with the XB1 already powered on (and still is if I forget to turn them on first!). Worn them for 5 hours with no discomfort or excess pressure, the large foam ear pads are great and the independent game volume and chat volume control both work well. You can still hear enough ambient sound around you when using at reasonable levels (door bell etc.) which is helpful. Battery life has been fine for me, I plug them in after each use and they go for my longest gaming stints without issue.
