They came before the appointed time because my husband was home. By the time I got home, they had already left. I had a VCR attached to my old TV and have no idea if it was set up because there was no information let or given to my husband. If it was set up, I have no idea how to access it.

No Point in Getting the Basic Setup

It's done by guys who are really just delivery men and don't know anything about the TVs. They left very fast, didn't really show me how to do anything and took off without hooking up the 4K usb cable or taking the cellophane all off the TV. They also told me I could throw away my current remote, but that left me with no way to change the channels (no#s). When the store or Samsung tried to get them to come back and finish (5 minutes after they left) no one could find them anywhere. I think they wanted an afternoon off. You would be better off getting the more expensive setup which costs more (although they gave me the service free after the initial mess), or else just having a knowledgeable friend help you out. The basic setup arrangement is a poor idea.

I was told that included with my smart tv set up was the setting up of my smart tv features including helping me set up roku tv and everything but not only did they not do that they did not take away box and daid nicely but stlll said read the owners manual

Best Buy TV BASIC SETUP for my Imsignia 55" LED TV was perfect. Delivery was a bit late (unforseen problem) but set up was very quick and efficient. They fully explained all of the functions available and even went through the entire set up process for my TIVO unit. Fully satisfied and happy with the new TV..

I am very pleased. Geek Squad arrived much earlier than I expected. Programming, as well as the set up, was completed in a matter of minutes. I will definitely use this service again. My old television was removed, so I didn't have to worry about how I would get someone to carry it down 3 flights of stairs.

Got my calll for delivery time in the morning. They showed up on time and without a wasted minute they had unpacked the tv and had it set up. Was given an explanation of the basic tv functions and where to get more explicit instructions. Very professional and courteous.

Geek installers were very friendly but the service was poor. The installation was rushed and done poorly. We agreed to complete the installation with the tv on the floor and installer explained that all I had to do when my new tv table arrived was unplug/plug one single cable. This was not the case and they left wires running through the old entertainment center so I had to reinstall everything myself. They also placed their power tools on my sofa and I don’t feel that was professional. The back panel that hides cables feel off and installer said it was normal. I had to reattach it myself after they left.

When my tv was recently replaced under a Geek Squad protection plan, the Best Buy phone rep mistakenly set me up with this instead of a Geek Squad Reinstall as he should have.
The TV was not delivered by the Geek Squad. It was delivered by a third party company who could not properly reinstall the TV. According to the specs on the service, they were supposed to hook it up to one device. These guys didn't even do that.
Thankfully, I was able to get the TV reinstalled properly like they should have done the first time, but don't opt for the basic service unless you want to be extremely disappointed.

The Geek Squad actually arrived earlier than expected. They called me first to verify if I was available and if it was ok to arrive in 20 minutes. They did a great job, very professional. They gave us great info about the remote and TV. We are very pleased.

The guys brought the TV out on time and set it up, also taking the old one out. They noted that I needed a different cable than the HDMI cable that we had, and were very helpful in giving me information on the different brands and which to look for.

My Basic Setup only meant TV Drop Off. They didn't even take the 50 inch TV out of the box. I liked the setup idea because I am Disabled and use a Walker to get around. I asked the person on the phone 3 times about the setup and was told they would take TV out of the box and install basic cables and make sure it worked. None of that Happened. I called Customer Service and was told they would have to schedule another service. the 1st service took 5 days with No TV. I wasn't doing that again. CS told me that's all they could do. Worst service ever. Save your money. The TV works fine.

Setup of the TV is not rocket science but it was great to have it delivered, unpacked and positioned so I wasn't responsible for any damage that may occur. Packaging was removed so I didn't have to get rid of it.

The service was not what I was explained when I bought the service. Contacting the manager in the store didn’t resolve anything as they wouldn’t return the money even though I was misinformed.

I purchased a 65" tv and so was unable to transport it in my car. The Geek Squad guys called ahead of time, delivered within the promised window, cleaned everything up and helped with a basic set-up and testing. Would use again!

These guys showed up and installed the tv and showed me how to use the remote. They programmed the remote to work with my satellite and took my old 18 yeAr old heavy t.v. away. I had to do nothing. Great guys!
