this bulb give off fantastic color. Better than the Hue. However the lack of a bridge and open source platform really limits what they can do. I'm sure these will only get better but the flexibility and options of Hue outweigh the great color.

I bought this to be part of a studio lighting setup for videos. It was an experiment. It does provide a good daylight-quality flicker-free white light, and that's all I use it for. It will also cycle through a range of bright primary colors, controllable with a cellphone app -- which I have found completely useless. (Your needs might be different, of course. If you were lighting up a 1950s aluminum Christmas tree, this might be just the thing.) A good halogen or LED flood lamp would provide the same white light at a lower cost.

The unit looks great and there's so much potential here. I truly wanted this to work for me. I purchased four of them for my entry hall and had to deal with terminal connectivity issues over 40 minutes. I tried to get these to work with my samsung S7, apple iPhone 6, and apple iPhone 6s. The app really couldn't maintain any kind of reliable connection among the four bulbs. Could sometimes connect to one of them, got it work with 2 once, and that's about it. Truly awful app, truly unreliable connections. I was actually only hoping to program them up once and sort of let them be, but these just didn't work well enough to even do that. They are definitely bright enough and do have some wonderful colors. Just wish they actually worked. Great Best Buy return service and helpful staff.

This purchase should be considered a luxury, at best. If you have the dough to spend on a whimsical item, then you probably have the imagination that would justify it's purchase. If you're looking for practicality, that is, using it as an anti theft device for the times you're away from your home, you probably would be better served in using the cash for a camera set up to monitor your home. But at this point, it's a toss up on whether you choose to enhance your moods, or your home safety. Play with it , and tell me what you think.

The lights are very colourful and can be changed from your phone. Unfortunately there is some lag in the changing of the colours and does not always change. Otherwise fun stuff and play with it on your phone.

You have to download an app to operate the light, but it was very easy to do, and works exactly as described. I spent quite a bit of time going through the various modes, and everything was very intuitive.

This lights are awesome. They are really bright, but can be dimmed. They change to different colors. The only thing is that when they are too far apart there is a lag time and they dont synchronize well

This thing has every color in the rainbow it's so cool our baby cousin loves to play with it and change the color. It's a little pricy for a light bulb but if you can afford it I recommend it.

The review is more for tha app than the bulb, which works as the app commands. It has more color options than I use. I use it as a dim light for watching TV and movies.

Pretty awesome alternative for the Phillips Hue Smart Lights which are crazy expensive. The Ilumi lights are quick and easy to install and use. Good Product.

This light was so easy to install and set up that I had to give it five stars. The connectivity across multiple platforms for wireless functionality is great. For the price I paid, it gives the Philips line a run for its money. You can set the light to turn on at a certain time and turn off at a certain time, set color schemes, holiday themes, as well as set it up to other pieces that would enable a geofence. Pretty awesome.

When I found this bulb it was on clearance. I got it for next to nothing compared to similar products. I got it home and thought it would just be a light to put over our sink. When I got it setup, i was amazed. It beats to the music on your phone and flashes with whatever colors you want. It even syncs to google home with IFTTT. Cannot believe all the features and colors. We may buy 2 for the outside now.

Love the colors but has been a little difficult for me to figure out how all the functions work. Wish it was a little easier.

I bought 5 of these for my kitchen and you can change colors individual pretty easy to use with app on iphone

ilumi - BR30 Bluetooth LED Smartbulb - Multicolor Is a good smart bulb with a very intuitive application for adjusting colors and setting scenes. The down side this smart light is the lack of functionality with the Amazon dot and Google home. If that's what you're looking for in your smart light I'd look else where

These bulbs will not distribute light ,as well as, a regular light bulb. You will have several dim spots in your area.
